Fox Footy are showing a “classic” game right now. Collingwood v Bulldogs Round 13, 2014.

Some of the names running around for us are Clinton Young, Jack Frost, Lachie Keeffe, Paul Seedsman, Tim Broomhead, Marley Williams and Jesse White.

Can we just forget about this day, that list and the fact that we lost to the Bulldogs because Liam Jones kicked 4?

i dont think the virus was engineered under some conspiracy but I would expect that the wealthy of this world will use it to transfer more of the world's wealth to themselves. I think that, after the dust has settled, we'll find out that surprise surprise, there are more billionaires in the world and they have a greater percentage of the world's wealth. How is it done? Well like the financial crisis, governments will prop up businesses with loans that dont have to be repaid, and governments will recoup the money from the group that funds them - average everyday non-rich people. Plus, the people with the money will use it to buy up all the bargains that are presenting themselves at the stock exchange. For the average person, the current circumstances are seen as a disaster, those with full wallets see it as an opportunity to make a killing. As Rex would say, thank you very much for the rabbits.

So you don't believe in the conspiracy that the Rosicrucians under the auspices of the 10 commandments of the anti christ engraved in the Georgia Guidestones.. are behind this? That they're not getting shitfaced on manhattans in the underground city at Denver Airport?

i'd need to see the photos. I dont understand why it's always the people who believe in the anti christ who get blamed. I find christians are more than adequate in causing a lot of mischief. At any rate, our prime minister is a born again and if his mate Brian houston (of the hillsong variety) should slip him a note that says that the virus is good for christians, then I have no doubt that the PM will be out shaking hands on monday. Of course, the same is true if █████ sends a similar message to him via Greg Norman.

Additional thoughts on my post above... excuse the indulgence....I was watching TV this morning and it seems that the famous people of the world have sent a "message to the world" using the words and music of the John Lennon song Imagine.

Lennon wrote the song around 1970 so for 50 years people have been ignoring the lyrics. Specifically he states things like "imagine there's no countries ....and no religion too". I've heard christians sing this song. Maybe they leave that verse out. People seem to think that the song is a song of peace. In fact, it's more a song of revolution and ridding the world of institutions that divide people.

A New World Order?

A New World Order?

I have no idea. I'm just saying that Lennon wrote the song for entirely different reasons than what it has become. In fact if my memory is still working, he performed it at the grammys or something similar and they made him change the words to make it more palatable to the christian audience. Evidently Margaret Court said that her flock wouldn't get the virus because god would protect them. I'd give them all free afl season tickets and a meet and greet session with all the patients in wa hospitals.

Sometimes I'm also against those things which divide us, but then I get an email from Ed who spruiks the proud history of the Collingwood Football Club, and I start feeling tribal and 'us against the world' and it kind of feels good. And then the CFC membership sends an email at about the same time telling me that there's a commemorative pin with my name on it, as long as I don't stop being a member during these uncertain times.

Needless to say, I'm now very pumped about tonight's game!

Revolution has been branded, absorbed by capital. Che Guevara and Mao fashion is...fashionable. Happy days.

So if you see your super savings vanish?
Would you convert to cash and re invest at a better time or just hang in?
I made the mistake of looking at mine yesterday, felt sick thinking of what I could have bought.

Think we have to stick fat and leave it there.

Nah. People singing "Imagine" and thinking it is a peace song has more to do with people's stupidity. In fact stupidity has become as fashionable as the love of money.

Hate to be picky, but didn't Rex actually say "thank your mother for the rabbits"?!

No-one knows.

But imo the feral MSM and their sponsors have leveraged this virus [global mortality rate less than the flu on current stats] in a wired-up hyper-political world to an extent that no-one has ever experienced before, whereby the conventional advice of not locking in your losses by going liquid, and riding it out, is a bit like whistling in the wind as your capital evaporates.

One option is to ring-fence some of your capital by converting a % of your invested super into cash, still in your super fund, and re-enter the market when the tide rises. 15% -20% down should see a bottoming out, normally, but I foresee the market losing a lot more over the next month, burning more capital.

[Speaking as a retiree investor currently down a considerable amount dollar-wise so far].
