Whilst I agree in looking for a high level mid - I would be more focussed on players who have the polish to make their possessions count.
B Crouch can rack it up and use it well.
M Crouch and Thompson rack up the numbers, but it isn't always a great thing when they do.

should we have picked him up over Danger?Just stumbled onto cyril riolis younger years highlights. **** me. You look at some of these kids and compare it with his highlights package. Its like chalk and cheese. No wonder rendell said he was the most talented footballer hed ever seen.
At the time he said he didnt want to leave melbourne because he was boarding there. I wouldve drafted him anyway and backed our club in to make him feel at home. After a few months he wouldve been fine. Darwins just up the road.should we have picked him up over Danger?
The only thing poxier is the keyboard warriors themselves.
would he be as good if he went to the crows?cyril was ridiculous as a junior, way too good for his opposition, could probably say the same in the AFL. He's always one step ahead of his opponent.
Everyone would be complaining that he only gets 15 touches a game around here.would he be as good if he went to the crows?
How about we try something like this.
Rate each player out of ten considering needs and talent
Aaron Francis 9/10
Harry McKay 7.5/10
Callum Ah Chee 7.5/10
Wayne Milera 8/10
Ryan Burton 7.5/10
Darcy Tucker 7.5/10
Mitchell Hibberd 7.5/10
Ben McKay 5/10
Harley Balic 7/10
Rhys Mathesion 7.5/10
Kieren Collins 7/10
Clayton Oliver 8.5/10

I once ran a 2.95s 20 m sprint - right after seeing the biggest hairiest spider in history next to my arm. I was greased lightning that day.
I have great empathy for you. In fact, my speed would have been 0.02 seconds quicker than you.

Is that why we signed Sam Shaw for 3 years? We can get Weitering in 2 years when Carlton trade him to us!![]()

Completely agree with this and was thinking the same thing. Although, if Francis isn't available, I believe Milera, if he is, should be our first pick. I feel he has the capacity to turn into an excellent outside mid.If Aaron Francis is there you take him. No ifs or buts about it.
Burton for the 2nd pick his talent is elite. The leg will be fine, if there was a real query he wouldn't even be mentioned
Oliver is the only other one who has the size and grunt we need.
Why are we thinking of skinny little toothpicks?

That's not even close to true, most people on here or in the media wouldn't know the full extent of the injury, even if the medicals go well, there's no guarantees, it depends if the club is willing to take the risk.
