Is Henry a forward or defender? probably lazy on my end but I was under the impression he was a defender like his borhter?

If he's a hard working forward then absolutely comes into play. My apologies if the two have been mixed up
Played mainly forward, however has played a game or two down back. I see him being that fwd who works hard, pushes up ground to wing and can provide a good link up.

I agree with this generally. Our inability to take marks anywhere but half back killed us this season. Marking medium forwards and wings are a need for us.

On this note I think we should still be looking hard at Poulter. Watch the footage, you can just tell he is going to be a powerful wing or inside midfielder when he fully develops.

I'd definitely take Poulter or O'Driscoll with 8 if Collingwood matched a bid for McInnes at 6. Or split 8 with someone for two late first rounders and take both of them.

All I'm saying is he may be in for a world of disappointment, although Collingwood seems to be as much a basketcase as we are.
I think he'd be more disappointed if he had to leave Melbourne. Staying in Melbourne and playing for Essendon is probably as close to Collingwood as you get from an environment perspective. He'd still be playing for a big club that plays in a lot of marquee games.

Reef grew up supporting Essendon so he can't be too disappointed playing for the club he supports.

I’m a big poulter fan if we trade back with one of our picks. Think he is that taller wingman type who could push into the middle at times and uses the ball extremely well.

Could be like McLuggage all over again

He is a similar size and body shape to Jarrod Berry.

Yeah, but we don't like drafting goal scoring mids still bitter about McGrath over Lug/Taranto

I think scoreboard impact players will be high on our list yes and then his ability to maybe play as a class set up the play half back as turn B would also be super appealing, its literally 2 massive holes on our list and he suits both of them.

I think N.Cox is basically locked in hes been consistently talked with us for some time now. Then i hope Perkins aswell then the 3rd a decision between Mcinnes, Henry, Stone as similar sorts or grab a bonafide midfielder for one in Powell, Macrae or Bruhn.
think you've read that right.

At 6, i'm expecting whoever of Perkins, Phillips or Thilthorpe is there. Doubt there are 2 of them left at that stage.
7 will be Cox. If by chance Cox goes top 5, then it will be 2 of the above.
8 im expecting to be split. Whether its a 2020 1st & F1 or 2x 2020 1st.

Oh, didn't know he was a supporter. A Dodoro special then. He's in.

Reefs a massive Essendon fan, Dodoro love those picks.
Said in a recent interview he’s loved watching Ridley go from the chargers to a future star of the comp.

What a strange thing to be bitter about, McCluggage averages 0.6 goals per game and Taranto is slightly worse at 0.4.
When we drafted McCarthy drafted another defensive midfielder where as Lug could kick goals and Taranto looked like he could rest forward

He’s a forward from what I’ve seen predominantly From video highlights, other experts may say differentlly?? Apparently kicked 5 goals last year as under ager and dominated a pre season game this year before COVID. Looks a beautiful kick. From what I read someone said he has played back and they compared him to a Jeremy Howe type albeit less spectacular with his markin.

Whats the knock on McInnes? I don't understand can someone explain why we shouldn't bid on him at 6. He seems the full package with his speed and 2km time trial, just to add to the fact he's 193 cm inside midfielder. There couldn't really be a more perfectly suited player to our needs..

Umm his 2km time trial was one of his big knocks. He recorded a 7 minute 10 second time. Which is pretty poor. So he'd have work to do in that area.
I believe his kicking is poor too.

On the plus side - 2.78 20m sprint time is elite and he's 193 cm and appears to be pretty good at the contested stuff.

I'm not sure what his role was but he only averaged 14.7 possies per game in 2019 and obviously didn't play this year.

I'm not against him but this is basically why opinion is divided on him. Basically your banking on potential but he does have some very appealing attributes.

That's why I want Cox over Reid. Cox genuinely has a future as a 2-metre winger with his endurance and speed. He is also fairly close to filling out. Reid will hold down a post as a genuine KPD, but you can find those types at pick 60.

Yeah Clarke becomes redundant in a way if we're looking at selecting Kyle Dunkley, which I hope we do.

There's no way a draftee would be disinterested because someone else picked him up.
He is probably expecting to be picked up by Collingwood so of course he is going to prepare himself to play for them. It's like saying JUH is preparing to play for Bulldogs, which is the obvious thing to do. If we pick him up, then he'd gladly take his opportunity to play at AFL level. With list cuts, I highly doubt he'd just sit there sulking. In fact, it's a compliment that another team was willing to use a top 10 pick to select him.

Social media activity isn't really that deep.
Not so sure about these comments that you can easily find a KPD at pick 60. The top teams have gun key defenders. We need one. Zerk probably ain't going to be it and Hurley and Hooker are past it. Our problem is going to be having too many middling or undeveloped talls. If someone like Reid looks like they can become our Rance/Andres/Taylor etc, then we should grab him.
