It appears there is a really good chance an Amiss, Gibcus or Mac Andrew are available at our pick and then Ports pick. I dont think any suit us for needs

Been noted Tigers might trade up with 17 + 30. Surely Freo become really interested if its a fwd Andrew or Amiss. GWS may well also pull the trigger if they prefer whoevers left over a Van Rooyen by a fair bit. Also would think Gold Coast will be another option now aswell (With losing Greenwood)

Im happy to do that if were happy to take 1 of A.Draper, Sonsie, Chesser, Willmott, Knevitt

The only pair that could be real possiblity is Sinn and chesser/Howes, or goater and taylor (although I’m not sure sure those 2 are actually close just cannons team mates). If Gibcus somehow slipped to their first pick( highly unlikely) potentially him then Sam butler.

Based on that only knevitt and Browne or Chesser and Howes seem an option

Could be available and likely atleast one by the sounds of things based on whats been said so far by draft gurus and whats being published in articles

Im probably only trading back if we have a choice from Gibcus, Mac Andrew, Wanganeen Milera, Ward, Sinn. Even Sinn and Milera hit a need most would probably rather just take them instead of trading back and im a bit 50/50 about trading out of picking these guys

Richmond pick 9 - Midfielder
Saints pick 11 - To not see Andrew as a defender

They wouldn’t, likely taking Erasmus/ Johnson with their next pick. I think most clubs would have mac higher than Amiss, and Freo are known for taking best kid possible regardless if they’re Victorian.

Yeh my scenario above has them taking Amiss at 8

I see Amiss as a better forward than Andrew, so depends what theyre after

Id think tigers would take Amiss at 9 if Freo took Mac Andrew at 8

Are North allowed to pick both Daicos and Darcy to make the other teams use up their picks, before they take JHF? If so, is there any reason they wouldn't do that?

Yes, and the main one is the club that has the #1 pick gets 10k (Lore) I believe. Plus he's the best player in the draft apparently

10k and a car or something, marketing deal for the AFL. I think it changes yearly depending on what NAB or other sponsors put up.

There would be similar lesser arrangements for the top 10/first round, and then club by club arrangements beyond that.

I dont think 10k is a reason. Simply tack it into the contract

The main reason is the great white hope of having pick 1 and North believing hes better than Daicos which i think is very fair

I think its all but guaranteed atleast 1 of Sonsie, Chesser, NVM, MJ, Erasmus, Goater, Rachelle, Hobbs, Ward, Sinn are available at 17 (May have missed someone)

North being able to market pick 1 is a big reason, also shows JHF they rate him no.1 in the country. Will help when the SA clubs come for him.
