And, given the price H-mac will come in at in 2012.

Bingo. He's the one I'm watching for 2nd or 3rd. Goldstein really took a leap last year so #2 might be a bit risky as H-mac re-establishes himself, but 3rd ruck he could be worth a go.

I wish Scott had been less selfish and traded Hamish to GWS, Port or RFC etc. He'd have made a great bargain.

I dont know how cheap you guys expect HMAC to be. His only game for the year and he scored 79. They seem to be handing out less and less price reductions ever year. But even with a 10% or 20% discount which seem the most likely as 30% and 40% tend to go to guys who didnt play at all.

He is still quite expensive. Certainly wouldnt want him on the bench as a 3rd ruck at his price.

I have him at
around 320k with a 10% discount
285k with a 20% discount

Im yet to look at fanplanner and probably wont, so unaware of his price on that

Should get 30-40%.

You would have to start him if you played him. The worry is that you could probably start Giles and get a similar output or at the very least a greater improvement relative starting price. Depends what you can do with the extra cash and whether or not it is high risk starting a guy playing for an unknown quantity. How much TOG will they give Brogan?

Some of the GC ruck options might be worth looking into. We know what Zac Smith is capable of on his day, and will now be fitter/stronger with another pre-season into him. Will probably be worth a look. Price went down at the end of the year too given how he tired, so could be a bit cheaper than what he's worth.

Might have a sneaky peak at Dan Gorringe for a bench option, especially since they will probably be fading Fraser out next year, so he'll get plenty of game-time as second ruck.

surely not

Like I said, I'd probably have a peak at him for a bench option. He was just re-signed and this is his second year, so he'll want to impress. Especially with Fraser now a year older. It's hard to see exactly how good he'll go since he hasn't had a clear run yet, either being subbed or injury plagued.

I'm a bit bias though. :o

Worth considering that Cox, Leuenberger, Goldstein, McIntosh, Jacobs and Giles all have byes in round 11.

and Roughead who i liked from the doggies.

You would think the most a team can pick from this lot is 2 which will be very likely for alot of teams, considering the strength there.

Depending on your scoring expectations for the high end rucks, it might be worth risking a donut as the top 3-4 rucks could potentially make up points lost.

fair enough if he had not played yet and be 94k or whatever but to spend over 200k on a ruck bench is stupid for any position let alone the ruck where everyone will have stephenson and giles

No way he would be priced anywhere near 200k after avg 33 and only 7 games. Should be around 145k. Not bad if he is the designated 2nd ruck and his ability to play forward also important.

I personally probably wouldn't pick him, but it wouldn't be ludicrous to consider him like the above poster and myself.

probably closer to 200k than 145k i would say but if you were right he could be ok whether he would be worth the extra 45k or whatever it is more than giles and stephenson would be a bit of a stretch

and again would he really be worth upto 50k more than stephenson and giles????

Potentially. If you pair him up with, say, Mitch Clark(e)? and that saves you a donut (75 points) then that is already circa 6ppg or $28k. Could also allow you to start someone risky in the ruck like Orren or Giles as you have supprt in the forward line of the form of DP.

Would love to know your formula for pricing of players? eg: Gorringe 200k

What do people think about Will Minson? Averaged 90.6 in the threw games he lead the doggies ruck last year, with Hudson out of the picture and increased game time his scoring should be well up on previous years?

I think Roughead is more the man

Thoughts on Renouf leading the ruck at port or does he sit behind Lobbe?

are mumford-berger the new sandi-cox???

i.m.o yes

both teams have little to no back up ruckmen so should continue on from last seasons scoring

im sure cox will continue to score well not so sure about sandilands.quigleys earlier post is pretty spot on
