2014 u18 premiership side all senior player no bad depth to pick from.

The eagles have great depth...but all good blokes so hard to see them leave. Any other departures around the comp?

Craigieburn will be hard to beat. Forward line of Cloke x 2, Kite, Robinson, Fletcher and Courouzou. Midfield of Bongetti, Tucky, Young, Page, Short, Heenan, Mackerlain. Backline of Fynch, Louzou, Terzievski etc. Sounds like a great team on paper.

Who can challenge?

Westy, Glenroy & Windside are my tips to challenge Crazyburn in 2016

It's all fine having 3 massive big Fwds. But the three of them do not chase when the ball hits the ground. As you saw on grand final day. Douttas runners killed then running out of the backline. They need speed and lots of it. If it's a dry day at Greenvale again I'll back anyone in the 4 to knock them off in a prelim final.

They have also added 4 on ballers that have good skill and speed plus the under 18 boys that played last year r a bit fitter and stronger so I think they have improved a lot from last year

Not that they will necessarily challenge, but the Sants hav a completely different playing list for 2016. They probably have no more than 5 or 10 seniors or reserves from 2015. One step back two steps forward me thinks..in saying that they have a ridiculously young list and might be good for 2017 onwards so long as they are patient.

They lost there best u18 because they burnt him come senior finals time.

They need speed. End of story. Cause they are slow in the fwd line and in the back line.

And if they could get some of their juniors back from other clubs would be handy

Allouche abdullah gray inzillo.... Probably a few I forgot too but some serious talent there

I agree that speed is important in div1 as there is more "ground" balls and stoppages due to the different skill levels compared to the top division. It's great to recruit a lot of players but more important to get the right players. I would say that Craigieburn had a better list than EDS this year however lost in the game that counted.
Also worth noting that Hillside nearly beat them at Craigieburn and they are young and a quick team who like to take the game on. Interesting!!

It will be interesting to see what affect the Nolan move has on the club, as he was a part of the club for a number of years (except when he spent a few years at PV) and from what I hear he was very popular.

I'm pretty sure all our gun under 18s have stayed and no one got burnt last year played our best side in the finals except fletcher who was injured just got beat by a better side

I am sure all our best and fairest winners r staying and our best clubman from the 18s is staying our best first year player is staying Jamie dom laffan all staying so u must have someone else u r talking about

Nothing wrong with investing in the youth policy goalside as you said patients is the key good on the club for heading down that track

Frightening on paper Warna many a sleepless night will be had by opposition coaches and players pre CB games. The forward from the NFL who they have signed is an absolute gun would have to be $1.02 favs

They just have to make sure they stay up, which I'm picking is going to be very tough and go from there.

I will be spewing if I'm selected in the 1's and have to play on the one of the clokes or kite... Could get very ugly lol

Maybe i could manage to break the record of goals kicked on me in a game lol

Agree Mel unfortunately they are coming back to one of the most even and competitive divisions in the metro area as we all witnessed last year. Apart from CB the rest could be a raffle.
Hey Aussie what makes u think windside will challenge CB? What about Lakes, Tulla mate?

Have faith mate perhaps the games against CB you go forward and kick a big bag

Can't see Allouche and Abdullah going back in hurry, they love it at Westmeadows and we love having them there.

Broadbent coming in will be great for Abdullah as Broadbent you would assume will cop most of the heat now.
