Would like to hear your opinions now larks83 as im sure you've had time to judge said players.See Coomans hasnt played much nor done much when he has.Injured?Stick to facts with no spin either please. Thanks

Hello barfly, to be honest mate i've only been to 3 Roys games 2nd half of tulla, westy on anzac day and cragieburn, most of time has been spent watching cragieburn and seen doutta's for a couple of halves due to work commitments and depending on where the eagles playing! I'm pretty sure coomans is Injured and only played a couple of games so I will not pass judgement on him, fisher was solid in backline that was under pressure all day in game against cragieburn and in fairness steve silvagni could of played that day and wouldn't of mattered as roys were fairly uncompetitive after quarter time and losing dulic.

So to answer your question I still haven't seen enough of the 2 but in the small parts of what i've seen and heard from people down there they should both still be very handy players at this level!

As to the other part of my post made in preseason clearly the recruiting of blokes from lower levels maybe even coaching has not worked, this division is too good and competitive to be relying on mediocre recruiting to challenge the big boys and to even win enough games to make the 4! Yes they've had injuries but so does everyone probaly very lucky for all involed at sewell that NS are in this comp! Would be thinking they need an influx of talent this offseason or might be last year in div1 and this coaching staff!

Why makes you think they are miles off. They had a bad game against hillside @ hillside. Which is what Tulla had. Then when they played Tulla they kicked 1.8 in the second quarter with the wind. If they go in 5.4 or 6.3 at half time then the result could have been different. are the only team to beat west meadows and were in the game for 3 quarters against craigieburn so aren't to far away. Still along way to go in the season
Read the post again . I'm talking about Glenroy not Oak park

Fair reply I will leave it there.
Caught the first 1/2 of Crazy vs Lakes on satdy myself and was impressed with how Crazy went.Clokes,Page,Young a class above with Kite also good across half back however his consistent bombing of the ball I wasnt too keen on.
Also was impressed with young Langers and funny to see a 6 footer clearly winning boundary throw ins with his huge leap and young Laffan as usual going hard.Ground held up well apart from pitch and was surprised with the small crowd considering Crazy goin so well.

Watching the whole game, thought Haddy had some handy players on the day too, also in front all day! What got them over the line? Raf bagging six and going to the backline in the last 5 mins to save the game. Haddy ruckman won every tap, (BOG) IMO, not always to Haddy midfielders but gave them first use most of the time with on baller Dazza 35 touches. Great effort by Saints to nearly steal the game, 5 goals down in the last 5 or so minutes. Haddy deserved the win, but didn't finish the game off again, similar to Hillside when nearly 7 up late in 2nd quarter a few weeks ago.

I agree...
In my opinion it was haddys worst game for the year (except craigieburn) and still managed to grind out and win ugly... Fair play to northern they fought all day and have some good kids coming through. The game was played in great spirits

Kite gets the ball but does nothing with it. continuous bombing into the forward line 9/10 it comes back out the other way

Jorgo to Oak Park, they'd have to go close to fielding a side full of former G'vale players now wouldn't they? :p
There midfield is starting to look even better now
Potter
Jorgo
Pascu
Campbell
McConnell
Rajab
Smith
Cronin
Hare
That's a deep midfield now which will help their defence. with sides starting there attack more often then not from OP's fwd 50

Edfl they can't be serious not have westy v crazyburn match of the day they r a joke
To be honest Pascoe Vale vs EDS should be match of the day. Westy won't get within 8-10 goals of craigieburn. There backline will get smashed cause craigieburns mid lead by Page will dominate

Keillor park vs coburg districts match of the day.

Super player Jorgenson. In his prime one of the EDFL's very best. Injuries unfortunately caught up with him.

Yes Jorgensen has signed but only after being convinced by some close friends. But his still not a definite starter. Leaving his options open in case he gets toey.. Agree a big in if his fit & firing.

Agree Craigieburn should win easy, WM have too many out and will lose some more from last week. However I think Page will find it a lot harder against Allouche and Vavra than recent weeks.

Interesting position WM are in this week, 2 games clear in top 2, do they actually even want to win this week ? You may only get Craigieburn once, wouldn't it be better to be in September than June ?
