Well Timothy lets just say the pkingduck was a far better footballer in his day than your good self, I'm retired now. I watched you play last year twice, struggled in both. But thats only my opinion, i'm sure you have lots of friends that tell you otherwise. Now i'm no Mike Sheehan but i'm really enjoying voicing my thoughts on big footy. Looking forward to the season ahead. Keep working hard mate you will get there ... ( maybe ) oh and my claim to fame would be that i won a pie eating contest when i was a kid. I love pies.
Well you've definately got credibility if you rate yourself as a better player than me! Stick to eating those pies and extending your considerable frame rather than commenting on things you're unqualified to talk about. I'm happy for you to personally approach me to discuss how I can improve and become more like you but you and I both know that will never happen.

Just wondering if any teams in either division are looking for a practice match on March 15? Romsey Football Club have had one cancelled and would like get another one on the go. The game is prefered to be played at Romsey (15mins from Sunbury), the ground is great condition. If anyone is interested, please send me a private message for more details.

I'm just stirring the pot big Tim no need to get upset. I'd like to ask you a question though if i may, do you rate yourself as a quality player in the EDFL? My opinion of you in my last blog was a bit harsh. You do attack the ball well, and tend to work hard off the ball, which is something i admire in a big bloke. But you don't look that natural to me... When did you start playing footy? Are you a work in progress?

Hello All,
Yes Douttas have lost some quality players it would be very stupid of me to say that they where not in the clubs top 10 players. They are quality players at this level and everyone knows that. However one thing i will tell you is i am extremely confident from what i have seen on the track with the new players we have injected that we have covered them. I think out of the players that we have lost joey and jimmy where the best two. Saying that i think the men that we have replaced them with are great inclusions. Last year was a terrible year for the club, its hard not to say that injuries didnt have something to do with. I have no doubt if douttas had of had a great year last season the likes of joey, liam and jimmy ect wouldnt have went any where. The problem is losing has a massive domino effect and when u start losing ppl become very frustrated and start pointing the finger at everything. Football is a bit like work in a way. no one in this world likes waking up in the morning and grinding out between 8 - 10 hours a day, but working with the right bunch of ppl can make your day, your week and your life that much better, and i think football is very similar.
Come round one it shall be very interesting to see where douttas are at, its all well and good floating names about here and there but it all adds up to nothing. A fact that i will give you is that douttas will be the fittest team in the comp come round one, only time will tell how good this douttas 2008 line up will be.

I'm not upset. I just don't respect people who pot other blokes on a forum without telling the recipient who they are.
If you know me you would know that I do not consider myself a good player - I can't kick, I'm slow, make bad decisions etc but I do offer a few things to the side which I hope helps us win. I'm no certainty for seniors this year anyway as the side is quite strong.
I am not a natural and have to work hard to get a game but I have played at Keilor since U10's.
Enough about me. Keilor are training well and looking forward to our practice match against Albion and a reunion with our old mate Chucka Knezevic in a few weeks!

very well said, doutta's are a proud club and will always be a hard team to beat, regardless of who they have picked up and lost.
not trying to cause problems or arguments,but as for your fact, with toddy clarke in charge at oak park this year, you can rest assure that come the last quarter of a game, if its tight, the team there playing would want to have an extremely talented team, otherwise they will run right over the top of who there playing, on fitness and endeavor alone. that is fact.

Agree 100% but lets face it this is Big Footy after all. Worse still is when a person who has potted another and obviously knows that person wont respond to a Private Message from the person they potted.
Hopefully it's not a traint they take with em into the game ....

Any feedback from Oak Park's practice match at Kilmore today? The cricket match I was overlooking went the distance so didnt get to have a look. Did they (Oak Park) have many out, howd the recruits go etc etc?
