he went to Boort, was struggling,(fitness etc) was asked to take a pay cut and work issues didnt really let him perform at his peak so a mutual agreement was reached and went back to the boppers. But a happy agreement between both parties and Boort was paying him a bit so why wouldnt you go?

in the few games he played at boort, had i think 3, 8+ bags

Wasn't a day for high possesion footy. In those conditions SM had more and this is reflected in the score.

Big Night next Tuesday Abber, expect to see you at the sportsmans night can I ??

Hope you won't be serving any of that flat beer and cask wine crap :p

to clear up all the rubbish about the girl getting hit at the WC tulla game...

what happened was tulla crowd were trying to put off WC as ya do with some derogatory comments and sledging.

A fight started between 2 dads in the crowd after the game and the wc player protected his dad and got into the fight. the girl happened to be around. and she was never hit to a lot of peoples disappointment,

are u fair dinkim buddy thats the biggest load of s hit i have ever heard. if u were seriously at the game u must of had about 10 beers to many. the split on her lip happens to disagree with ur view of her never gettin hit. i cant believe every1 is blaimin tulla for this, it seems every1 is forgettin this isn't the first time this had happen re: west cobourg v craigiburn grannie last year with the fight in the stand. i recon the edfl would be a much better place if west coburg *****ed off............

Keep taking pot shots champ, if you new the real story into what happened last year on grand final day in the stands along with the incident on Saturday afternoon at Shore Reserve you would be ashamed of yourself for making unfound assumptions and accusations in to what happened!

What right does a female spectator have or any for that manner in:

A- Throwing an objected at a player, who was struck in the face with the object(Full can of VB, what a waste)
then
B- Spit in the players face
then
C- Then physical strike the player in the face!

I for one, do not condone what happened at Shore Resever Saturday afternoon, but this is the chain of events that took place which inturned caused the players and supporters to be bite back!
Both clubs are to blame in my opinion.

Me on the other hand was there in full view of the events that unfolded. What a disgrace the Tullamarine football club are in my opinion!
I could name the female that insighted the riot that went on for 10 minutes but what would l achieve in relation to this matter...........
answer = nothing.

There is saying shagga 37 "People that live in glass house's shouldn't throw stones".

As for West Coburg leaving the EDFL........sure no worries!

Well put EDFL Man,

Would be interested in your thoughts on wht some clubs seem to always be involved in some form of controversity ??

In this instance, no worries it seems to be Tulla as the agressor, and the WC boys and fans standing up for themselves,

But I am sure you would agree WC, Moonee Valley, Jacana, Marby in the old days, Glenroy etc all seem to have traits that just seem to keep coming up.

Is it in the culture and how do clubs remove it ??

Well Bloodster the Mores showed on the weekend what a commited bunch they are. In those conditions its the team that puts its head over the ball and backs up their team mates that comes out on top. S.Hoath did exactly that.

Dont know what game u where watching. i think he came off Dry becasue he spent 1/2 the game on the bench and the other half running away from the ball........

Bit harsh there Bill. Did OK in my book on a day not ideal for big men. I'm sure there are plenty who would like a big man who can play at either end of the ground or in the ruck.

Haven't had much to do with Seniors at Tulla but the degree of feralness in the juniors has gone through the roof. Assume they are new to the club this year as haven't seen the heads before or had problems in the past. If they're involved in senior footy I can see why there were problems. Up to the club to act.

Jama, l would have to agree with the clubs(WC) history that there record isn't squeeky clean but l can assure you that every club in the EDFL have there own in house issues, we just may not hear about them!

I could sit here all day and go through every club, but once again what would l achieve.

I can only and should only comment on the club that l play at.
Is there a culture problem done at WC? No
Unless you have played at a club like e.g West Coburg, you wouldn't understand the nature of the blokes, where they are coming from and what they are about.
Every club have a couple of bad eggs, it's up to the clubs to stand firm and show courage and move them on.
"Short term pain, long term gain"

I know West Coburg have a zero tolerance plan in place now and the club is finally getting back on track to get some success!
Just looking at the juniors at WC the club have: 2 X under 16's teams, 3 X under 14's teams, 3 X under 12's teams and 2 under 10's teams.

Every club dream about being a power house club like Keilor, they are awesome the way they run there club and the backing they have from parents, sponors etc

Poeple seem to as forget that West Coburg is the oldest club in the EDFL! In my opinion they do belong in the Essendon Districk Football League!

Good to see Rabee in the best does that mean its all sorted out and Marby can keep worrying?

Ah working beautifully EDFL Man, maybe you are a PR man. If you could put a positive spin on this issue you truely are a king amoung men. Maybe this website needs someone from Tulla to put their spin on it. Maybe the Tulla people were a little unhappy with some of the going-ons that happened on the field. I heard that there were a couple of punches thrown in the game at one stage, i was told that edfl man could have been right in the thick of it. Is this true edfl man?

No punches were thrown on the field, clearly people from Tullamarine do not know the differences between a hip and shoulder and throwing punches(If you like, l can show you)!
I don't mind it hard and love a tough contest, that's when good teams and players are remembered in my opinion, unlike Tulla when the heat was applied they all went missing......funny that!

As for my shirt front on who eva it was, l hope your ok! :thumbsu:

You've got my vote EDFL Man, it's easy for people to get carried away with their 'eye-witness' accounts of what 'may' have occurred. Knowing you as I do, I wouldn't stupe to the levels of others, and believe that it was anything other than a hip and shoulder. Great to have you back on board.:thumbsu:

jama, i wouldnt say it has a lot to do with the cultute the club has, these traits you talk about that seem to keep coming up is only because people bring them up. Once these clubs do something wrong someone's there to jump on the opportunity to bring that club down in some/any way. They do this because of the things that did happen in the past.

I'm sure at other clubs, things have occurred without people finding out about it.

It's very hard to make a good reputation, but it's very easy to loose one.

All the clubs you mentioned, I'm sure are trying to make it a good one. I know my club, Jacana, are on the right track and I hope all clubs will continue to improve.

Cheers.

Anyway.. some important games this week.

A GRADE:
Avondale Heights V Aberfeldie
Both teams need to win if they want to keep their finals alive. Maybe too late for Aberfeldie, but could upset the Heights. Avondale looking to make amends for last weeks performance.
Avondale Heights by 2 goals.

Keilor V Oak Park
Keilor should get this one, but Oak Park will make it a fight. Can't see Oak Park going 4 quarters to beat Keilor, but footy is a funny game. Oak Park need to win to also keep their finals series alive.
Keilor by 5 goals.

B GRADE:
Maribyrnong Park V Tullamarine
Very interesting game. You'd say Marby on paper, but Tulla are in sicilating form. Very good youngsters, and good even team accross the ground. Marby will need to be accountable and physical if they are going to get up here.
Maribyrnong by 3 goals.

B R I N G B A C K T H E B R I C K !!!!!!!!!!! Where is bricksta? I wanted to ask him a few questions about Doutta's effort on the weekend????? Booooooo bricksta!

That's great news about the West Coburg junior club running so strong.....
Where are all the kids coming from ? Have Nth Coburg got any juniors ?

I think it is important that incidents such as Saturday are investigated thoroughly. I put the responsibilty on the AFL who should subsidise Football Victoria to investigate the ugly incidents and ensure the individuals and clubs are held responsible...

Reality is how many mums and dads were at the game on Saturday and are telling their kids not to play AFL... As a parent of a couple of young boys I wouldn't be happy if they were exposed such scenes......

Listened to the edfl radio show on sat morn Ian Price was on and said he was going to the wc v tulla game. Did anyone see him there and if so was he there when the fight broke out?If he was there l wonder if the edfl will do something about it or sweep it under the carpet.

is david rees from the north coburg saints any good? he talks himself up at uni nonstop so i thought i'd go straight to the source to find out if he's got the moves to back up his motor mouth...??
