Anyone know if the Picioane's will stay at Keilor?

Could be time for a year off for lance, didn't see a lot of footy this year with injury's starting to take its toll after 6 years afl.
Couldn't see why lee would leave "only for more cash" he had a good year and should finish top 4 in the b&f, needs to keep his eyes on the ball and not the man, that would stop those silly frees he gives away and with only playing back it is very costly for the side.

Can any of you guys shed some light on the A Grade clubs Best and Fairest winners??

What's everyone's opinion on the EDFL team of the year? I thought Hakim was stiff to miss the full forward spot (I dont really rate him myself, but usually the leading goal kicker is a definate starter), I probably would have had Winter at CHF over Sheppard too...
Can you tell me who was i the team of the year and the respective clubs are that would be good.

Dean Rioli is to be assistant coach at Abers for season 2008.

Huge news - had a hard time of it this year at KP.

The revolving door just keeps spinning at KP. If they're not careful the club could be in absolutely critical trouble this coming season - Struggling junior program, very little money to spend and a large portion of previously home grown talent has walked......Not pretty.:(

The circus moves on leaving KP in its wake. Does he actually have anything to offer as a coach? If he does he certainly kept it well hidden last year.

I think I asked the question half way through the year about whether he was at Keilor Park for the club or for his mates from up north. He has obviusly answered that question.
Does this mean we will see an influx of Aboriginals playing for the two blues?

Wasn't there talk of a merger between East Keilor and Keilor Park earlier this year? The way things are looking that could be back on the agenda..

I personally think the club's focus will turn more to their cricket teams.

I don't think they'll be around for much longer to be quite honest.

They've lost a heap of home grown players over the last two years and plenty will probably walk from this year's side.

It'd be a sad day to see an EDFL club close their doors.

He'll be great for Abers. The club has the right committee and setup for him to benefit from.

I've heard him speak and was pretty impressed with his thoughts and vision.

I think it's a major positive and will hopefully be the right step for the club to get back playing consistent winning footy.

All...Help me out here can you?

Saw my first b-grade game on the weekend...Good game, good standard, Marby were pretty impressive I thought. I was particularly impressed by a bloke from Marby Kon Karavisis (or something like that)....

Can anyone shed any light on this bloke? Really thought he moved well on the big ground, stepped up on the big stage and showed the crowd a lot...Silky smooth skills and read the play well on a couple of occasions.

Would be handy addition to any A Grade side based on that performance.

Cheers,

Big Tezz...

P.S. A Grade game was a belter...

Kon has played A grade with Avondale Heights, Kon played his junior footy at Marby, good to see he saw the light and return back to Marby

Handy teams are the Keilor Park cricket side, that Joe Misti sure can bat!

Thanks - Good to see a slick operator back on his home turf? Did he play VFL or a higher level by any chance?

he also spent 1 or 2 years at parkside in the wrfl, he played in their losing grand final side in 2005 and was a very handy player for them when he was there

Blu Bhoy --- How did that meeting at Keilor go last night ???

Interesting to see which way the commitee goes for 2008 ??

Lance Picone to coach ???

Sticks are you suggesting Lance will coach Keilor next season???
What's happening with Long - now retired - is he likely to put his hand up??

I agree it's sad to see any side go from any league but the fact remains that some clubs just cannot compete with the wealthier clubs.

They can either run stale for 20 years and play in the same league without ever holding a realistic hope of winning a flag, fold, or try and seek a merge with another club to give themselves a fighting chance of becoming something.

Thats great news for Abers signing Rioli very good start and im guessing picking up some of their top players (maybe 3 or 4) which helps without having to go out after players... you would now say they only need to get 3 or 4 high quality players and should be up there in 08 which would be good to see
From hearing him this year i think he will be better suited as an assistant coach because he has some great ideas but found it hard to deliver this as a full on head coach so very very positive for the Aberfeldie football club and current coach Geoff Kinniburgh

What are your thoughts?

Can agree with u there they have loset alot of youg talent over the lasts 2-3 years!!!!!
i myself was a KP junior but when this circus started i had 2 move on!!!!
i watched a couple of games this year and thought galard wasnt a bad talker in the hudles but roili was very ordinary cant really see him doin much better at abers and if he brings his circus 2 abers i no a few very talented X keilor park and a few others boys down there who will b unhappy!!!!!!!!!!!

hopefully KP dont have 2 close the doors coz i dont think there is a better club 2 drink at after a game of footy!!!!! and also here that a few of the home grown talent could make there way back 2 help out the club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If thats what their pinning there hopes on good luck to them all. What division do they play in the VTCA? Keilor and Douttas have had success in senior division but are Keilor Park up there?

It could spell the end........(and i hope not!)

In North A section which is 3rd Division. Keilor and Doutta standouts in the VTCA ane are in senior dividion, then there Senior A which is second division and then 3rd and 4 divsion get zoned so its North A and North B and South A and South B for teams across the other side of the Yarra. Cricket season is almost here.

Who is going back????

Season 2008

Greenvale
Strathmore
Keilor
Avondale Heights
West Coburg
Craigieburn
Doutta Stars
Oak Park
Aberfeldie
Maribyrnong Park

This is going to be a tough year in 2008. Considering Doutta's and Oak Park and AH all beat Keilor in 2007. AH were beaten by WC, Abers won some games late in the season. Keilor beat the mores No one beat Greenvale and no one will next year with there inclusions of Saad Saad next year. He alone will win them the flag in 2008. Good Luck to Marby it is going to be a tight year.

Rumour has it your going back litening lol.. How is the body holding up mate? R u going to play on? In regards to the rioli fiasco from what i seen he obviously didnt improve Kp's fortunes this season so i highly doubt it if he is going to do the same at abers. At the end of the day money talks so unless abers have some big bucks there going dash out then they have no hope in hell. Kp r a very good club but it is true that a number of players have left who r very good players to say the least. I hope kp get straight back up next year as i am good mates with allot of them. They will be fine and there probably better off without rioli.

KP have a pretty decent cricket side ive rolled the old arm over a few times, and will propably do it again this season in the thirds with the likes of the castello's feilding in the slips along side u, u cant go wrong. Very funny in deed.
