Not 100% there bricksta but i was having a beer with one of the doutta boys and and old chap from greenvale who handles all the contracts was saying that they have allready signed up 3 i would say Matty Robbins would be 1 not sure who the retired ruckman would be maybe Darcy?
he also said Rhys Bloomfield is certainly available but after hearing what his asking price is i think a few clubs would shy away

Well, you have to take your hat off to them, their recruiting Last/this year was nothing short of brilliant, the pickups from Coburg of Kuret, Jorgenson and Randello just to name a few, not just names but players to fill their deficiencies...they realised that their a 9 point better team than the mores, where they need to improve on this year and jumped on the momentum to bolster their stocks...very proffesional I would say!

Can't give a number (don't know). But as previously stated it's apparently very high and have to agree with you that if they have Potter, Briggs and Henneman then Bloomfield at a high price may not be worth it..... Nice problems to have though.
Can't imagine GV paying that sort of money for him.... They've recruited very well without spending that kind of coin on an individual..... Wait and see I guess!!

Seeing his last couple of performances in the Port Melbourne seconds there is no way he'd be worth anywhere near that. Looks overweight and his footy has gone backwards.
Fair point, given that VFL Ones players are rarely demanding that sort of money... The fact is he's tall strong and fairly athletic and local clubs just don't stumble over that type of player in the off season.......

Im really not too sure if you expect anyone to believe a word you are saying but i will bite.
Not sure who you had a beer with but i dare say it wasnt Bruce Kent, who is sitting in sunny Cairo, and handles 100% of the contracts. There is no other single person at greenvale that deals with them but him. And that includes Steve Macpherson!

It is worth noting he did not come through the so-called normal (TAC) process, which gives hope to a lot of late developers.
You would like to think his success could be used by the EDFL to promote the competition.

Yeah joey will probably end up at keilor in 2008 lucky as l heard the same thing from a few keilor people. Has a brother that plays juniors there and his old man has a couple of mates as well, but has there ever been a more arrogant player than him??
And yes its true that west coast keilor had a few probs with the "lollies", but they have it under control now, l think
. The club very quickly dealed with it as best they could and its not just keilor. Every club probably has an issue with it and l think its only going to get bigger in the future. l Know the EDFL has its concerns as we met three weeks ago for a drug seminar. Expect it to be raised in 2008

Old news, Greenvale paid $250K this season so they are headed for at least $350K with this lot aded unless they trim some existing highly paid players.
