Nice draft. The Rolling Mock Draft Returns

Leadership and ability forward and he has all 3 covered for speed, agility and endurance. Exactly the type I can see GWS going for.Nice draft.
O'Halloran is the one I wonder about here. What is the advantage he has over Bytel, Rowbottom and Ely Smith?
Kicking as well.Leadership and ability forward and he has all 3 covered for speed, agility and endurance. Exactly the type I can see GWS going for.

Bailey Smith and Tom Berry, yes please. The Rolling Mock Draft Returns

Now add in a compensation pick for GC, and two PP's and who do we end up with?Bailey Smith and Tom Berry, yes please.
The Suns take a King, we get Smith still and Berry slides to us because all other recruiters think he's an average back pocket player. Now add in a compensation pick for GC, and two PP's and who do we end up with?

I have 3 options I prefer for Fremantle's pick 6; Rankine, Thomas, Rozee. The Rolling Mock Draft Returns

The difference in talent for the Kings and Dixon is huge. Rankine is the biggest flight risk of all 3, Rozee I feel would be a nice fit aswell but if a player of Ben Kings ilk is available and you pass on him especially with the struggles your team has had with key position forwards the last few years it could really make you guys look silly. Ben King will be a star.I have 3 options I prefer for Fremantle's pick 6; Rankine, Thomas, Rozee.
If King was from WA that would change, but even then we are pretty excited about Dixon who should squeeze into the best 22 next year for perhaps half the season. Partnering up with Cox and Taberner there is the embryo of a functional forward line, and Rankine and Rozee in particular could find themselves nicely placed amongst that.
Trading to SA is a lot easier than trading to Vic I think, but I don't buy that Rankine is the greater flight risk. King could go for his first 2 years and play a lot of wafl, Rankine more likely to play every game. That kind of thing influences players desire to stay/go. It also influences their potential trade value at the end of their contract. The difference in talent for the Kings and Dixon is huge. What makes me nervous is a young Vic metro tall playing in the WAFL with 10 clubs in his ear.
Talls take a long time to develop and if someone poaches them you get screwed in the trade.
B King
Pro - could be a star and a need
Cons - injury concern, Victorian Metro with a twin brother, and will take a while to start making a difference.
For Fremantle is a massive risk to take B King and a massive risk not to take B King.
While, the likes of Rankine and Rozee don't have the same risk.
I see Max King as a potential Joe Daniher style of forward so someone who will be AA calibre and a player that can turn a game, Saints have been long linked to Max and whether the supporters want him or not I think the rumblings are strong enough for me to have him at that pickTrying to explain to our board max kings talent is hard, they are put off of kpfs especially early in the draft, 90% reckon we would be stupid to pick max over say smith. But when I watched him kick 8.8 earlier this year and a bit last year I think we would be completely mad and I can’t actually see us passing on him if available. How good do you think he can be personally? I think his upside is enourmous. Cheers

No doubt King is more talented than Dixon, and if the club is convinced by his interview that he would be a long term player for sure he would be considered. Otherwise I don't see him as our best investment. Realistically, any club overlooking Rankine would be just as likely to be made to look silly.
I agree. But then there is also trade period to get through, more compensation picks to be handed out, and who knows where Carlton and Gold Coasts PP's end up.When doing your rolling mock draft, it could be worth just assuming a few things.
1. GCS is highly likely to get a pick after their first round pick.
2. Carlton and GCS are highly likely to get a PP around the end of the first round.
This could throw a huge curve ball in how the draft falls.

Of those you had available Ian Hill and Curtis Taylor are also two I can see use liking, especially Taylor who could fit in our resting mid up forward rotation right away.Leadership and ability forward and he has all 3 covered for speed, agility and endurance. Exactly the type I can see GWS going for.
Yep both came under consideration, what helps with Butters is that I have his Jets teammate O’Halloran with the earlier pickOf those you had available Ian Hill and Curtis Taylor are also two I can see use liking, especially Taylor who could fit in our resting mid up forward rotation right away.
Butters who you have going at our second pick is a great pick up and again one I can see us liking a lot

It may depend on what targets you get in trade week like Gaff and Polec. Perhaps Ian Hill is a good option or Rozee if he slides. Perhaps Bailey Williams if your after a more mobile ruckman to pair with Preuss once Goldstein retires and would hopefully be able to rest Forward with Brown, both could get confused for each other thoughIf North keep their first round and the bid doesn't come for Thomas by pick ten who do you think would be our best choice?

Wouldn’t be surprised if Carlton trade pick 1 for 2 or 3 and 6 or 7 (ie two lower picks in the top 10) to get local lads they’ve got their eyes on.I agree. But then there is also trade period to get through, more compensation picks to be handed out, and who knows where Carlton and Gold Coasts PP's end up.
There is a lot of talk from Brisbane that our pick 4 (will be pick 5) is genuinely up for grabs if the right player is offered in trade, with a lot of speculation linking Seb Ross from St Kilda to Brisbane (over pay much).

Pick trading makes a lot of these club allocated predictions a bit of a chook raffle unfortunately.
Smith and a King.Who do you think the blues have their eye on hedge?
Smith and a King.
I don’t often agree with Knightmare but on this I do. Smith/Walsh are a flip of the coin, maybe 50.0001/49.9999 at best. He favours Smith, so do I.No Walsh? Most are saying he's a lock for pick 1 at Carlton. Have you heard otherwise?

Smith played Metro with Ben Silvagni and was his school football captain too. No recruiter would have a better insight into Smith than SOS (who also knows the King family extremely well).
I went early on Andy Brayshaw (I actually threw him up as #1 in late September) when many here thought I was silly - but it’s an “educated” call.
