Well one was touted as a top 10 pick and the other 30 > rookie pick so that isnt unexpected.

It will be interesting who ends up the better value for money pick uo.

Sorry I guess the main point I was making is that absolute guns are very hard to find.

It's only cause I am so high on him but having seen him like three times at most I am not sure I would be the best judge anyway.

On talent for sure he is a top 20 prospect, its up to the clubs in that range to decide whether they need a medium forward at that pick, im not sure if any of the clubs with picks in the 15-20 range need his type.

Geelong are crying out for natural goal scorers so I would love him at 12 even if he is a slight reach. Especially if we are weighing him up against a series of second tier mids...(O'hal, Duursma ect) I'd take Clark if he is still there though.

It doesn't really matter though does it because let's say Hill ends up an a start and is taken at 10 and cameron ends up a very good player but is taken at 50 you would still take Hill despite him not being the "value for money pick"

It matters if Hill is taken in the first but lacks the mental application and doesn't deliver. Hill has more class than some who will defenatly go early but there are question marks over his size, what exactly is his position and does he have the metal application to make it.

Not too many on the Eagles board who would take Hill early. With 2nd rounders sure you start taking risks. Later in the draft you hope for the best.

To me it doesn't seem as though there are many standouts.

Zippy is the keyword, plenty of small forwards to pick from but they lack that speed, most are the craft kind much like Miers was last year.

Seems that’s the case. Jarrod Cameron probably the stand out in regards to speed but he has been a bit inconsistent.

Who would you have ranked as the top 5 pressure small forwards. Disregarding speed?

I see him as a late prospect, natural wingman who moves well and uses the ball well by hand. Probably lacks a bit of leg speed in his game and if he had that in his game he would be in the mix for the top 30. His kicking is pretty good but it isn't elite and he isn't a big kick either, he might need to work on his inside game because he is a clean user especially by hand and he moves well in traffic so his best role might be at the stoppages.

It’s hard to say, I havnt heard of which later types would be up for grabs because clubs never know who will fall into their lap, id look at players with great attitudes and can play a role so 2 personal favourites of mine that could go late are Josh Kemp and Tyron Smallwood

With Jones his pressure around the ground as a whole is good and he is a strong tackler and physical so despite that not being a role he has done this year I believe he could play that role at the next level.

Fogarty played 15 games for Geelong.

Despite what he did in the TAC final, Miers wasn't considered last years best small forward going in to the draft.

Looking at the available videos, Clark would have been the choice but he'll be long gone, McLennan looks to read the play very well and is a tidy kick but not a great one.

Any other options out there with a better kick who still read the play well?

I also really like the look of Duursma, any chance of sliding to us?
Does he have a technique issue with his kicking or it's just a highlights thing.
