the whole disgruntled ex player angle was something McVeigh didn't need to bring into it. sure mention he was probably asleep during the meeting. but straight out trying to damage his character wasn't the way to go. rest of it was fine.

I'm sure that there is a lot more to come from this, but it was a good interview for the Essendon fans to listen to. There seems to be a lot of beat up in the media on some of the issues, but we must have to answer for a few things.
If nothing else, it was an enjoyable interview.

Ex player v ex player.
Neither has anything to do with Essendon. Spike would have his own opinions on Kyle and I think we all got our answer as to why he never got a game last year.
Well is helps to ease the stress Bombers fans are feeling, which that press conferance sure-as--shit didn't.
Regardless of what happens, it's nice to get some reassurances, because the media circus was getting ridiculous.

And that was true before this whole thing. McVeigh can only discredit himself by attacking Remiers. The rest of the interview made us feel better. attacking remiers didn't do shit. but now people outside of essendon are gonna say "hang on wait a minute. if everything's so cool, why are you attacking Remiers so personally?". It's discredited the the interview. A false step by McVeigh in an otherwise super job

It's apparent that some senior members of the football club suspect that they were sold a furphy. Sports scientists said one thing and injected players with another.
If this is the case it would hardly be the fault of the club though.

But did Reimers really need discrediting? It was pretty well known he had an attitude problem. Would have thought whatever he said would be taken with a grain of salt anyway.

True, but he could have easily done that without even bringing Reimers into it eg we had a meeting when we discussed this and the consent form. and that's that.

In all honesty, they wouldn't be prepared to do what Spike did as they are more than likelt not 100% sure yet. I'll tell you what though, Spike didn't do that without approval from his best mate.

Who gives a shit donsman if what spike is saying is true, then reimers is a disgruntled ex player and has clearly spoken crap and lies to the media to hang shit on his ex club, he deserved what spike dished up to him

Yeah and if players signed consent form under the understanding that it was approved by WADA etc and then they were injected with something else then ASADA can't really blame the players.
It would then be a criminal inquiry.
