  • would be to do with the guernsey(s)
  • anagram
  • My EFC record and the new one
  • I did but I thought it might give a ball park the players' era

Seeing that dapto's question is turning out to be way to hard to work out..(maybe he can put up the answer now?) here's another....

This is a quote from the book,The Jigsaw Man, by a former Bomber who is talking about Sheedy's early days as EFC coach in 1980s..who is he?

Training was tough, but I tell you what, it turned you into a player. We lost players because of it, and I'm pretty sure Sheedy's way of thinking was that if you can't handle it, you can't handle the pressure of VFL football.

I reckon I must have resigned about ten times. I remember sitting at home thinking, I'm going to head back to the bush.

It was only because I loved football and was an Essendon supporter that I hung in there. I can remember before my first state game, talking the Teddy Whitten. He'd say to me, 'When you pull on the big V you'll feel nine feet tall.' Well,I didn't feel that way playing for the big V,but I felt that way playing for Essendon.

and if u have the book, try and guess the player without looking it up:D

A high profile BF bomber member has his name....

Alan Noonan
Played for the Bombers of course, Richmond and Coburg. All of which sport a sashed guernsey.
"An anon loan" is a anagram of his name.
Held the goalkicking record at EFC for 7 seasons until M Lloyd took it with 10
Nothing cryptic about the last bit.

Apologies if I overcooked things
