People say this over and over, but it's crap.

Is it hard to compare Matthew Pavlich with Aaron Davey? Is it hard to compare Chris Judd with Daniel Bradshaw? Is it hard to compare Jon Brown with David Wirrpanda?

Is it so hard for you to make these comparisons that you'll just pass altogether. After all, they do play different positions.

I'll spell it out for you: one is a very good player, while the other is an absolute gun.

Players are judged on the degree to which they influence results in their team's favour. I don't see how players playing in different spots complicates that.

One is top 10 AFL players. THe other top 100 (which is still hugely respectful because that means top 5 at majority of clubs, funny thing is, probably all bar his own, and freo's )

Pavlich is a gun, but by no means am I unhappy with Embers. He really turned his career around from a few years ago, and is an extremely dangerous player and is hard to match up on. Not as good as Pavlich though.

embley is just a level below that (top 50-60ish).
two different positions played by these guys too.
embley is offers more versatility, but pav is a out and out gun.
i would like to see embley have a season without injury though, he might suprise some people.
i think pav will kick 70 + in 2007.

For someone who was taken a pick 54 in the draft and who looked like his time with the Eagles would be a short one, I'm more than happy with Embley. However Pavlich is the better player.

Pavlich is so much better than Embly. I mean Embly is a good player and all, but Pavlich is so much better. Several times All=Australian in different position, nearly won the Brownlow or been favourite a couple of times.
