I just went by Google search...and Dixon looks way bigger than Buddy.
I reckon Buddy has bigger upper arms and arse than Charlie. I don't know if its the black is slimming and at night time its accentuated and white makes your bum look big but Buddy looks bigger to me. Here are 2 shots from Saturday's finals from AFL photos

Sdit Found this one from Rd 1. Charlie struggling to get his arms around Buddy. Doesnt answer the question one way or the other who is bigger. Both are bloody big bastards.

Why does Dixon work have to run and cover so much ground when other forwards don't? Not because it is the crows being the crossdresstown rivals do I make a comparison but because they are about to waltz to one of the most open flags in history ... their forwards in collection don't run as hard as Dixon and they still kick massive scores and get the ball forward to them quickly and accurately in less touches. Why does a man with so much weight and height and glass ankles has to work that much in our system?

I've been saying this for ages. He should never leave the forward 50. We would kick heaps more goals.

You're obsessed with their bums, RussellEbertHandball :p
Plus I have 4 sisters and if I had $10 for every time over the years I heard them say white makes your bum look big and black is slimming and hides how big your bum is, I could put a deposit down on a decent house in Sydney.

But it would cause the structure to crumble. We don't finish 2nd in points for and 2nd in defence by leaving him at home like a fat forward from the 90s.

The crows entire game plan is essentially get all their forwards up to the oppositions 50 metre line and gut run the length of the oval back to their goal square.

I have zero issue with us playing a full ground press, running all day, every team does it. What I want to know is why do no other clubs seem to get caught with noone to kick to going forward (or it only happens very rarely), while it seems to happen to us at least 3-4 times a match on a good day?

Well I'm probably done with this incantation. Time to retire again. At least for 6 months.

I might RE register under another name if they do something stupid like extend Ken before the middle of next year.

I don't know why I care about the club . I think I enjoy the sanfl as much. Incredibly well paid man boys who can't even kick a goal from right in front. And yes you know what? I don't actually think they care all that much

Thanks for the year everyone.

Over and out the b0ydmoan

I have been on this forum for w̶a̶y̶ ̶t̶o̶o̶ ̶l̶o̶n̶g̶ ages, Boydy, and I've always appreciated your willingness to call out the bullshit, when so many other posters just want to go around drinking the club's bathwater and giving each other a reach around on how it will just magically 'click' someday. Sometimes I don't agree with your point of view, but I still think it's refreshing to have someone who is unafraid to call it exactly as they see it, without worrying about mincing their words and mollycoddling feelings. God knows the club needs as much brutal honesty as it can get right now.

I still remember you copping it from all sides when you claimed that Ryder was going to get whacked with a suspension from WADA, and we should be planning accordingly, by all the posters on here who bought the club's spin and were convinced there was nothing to worry about. And look who turned out to be right in the end...

Anyway, enjoy your break and I look forward to your double-spaced rants in the coming year. :thumbsu:

The thing is, our structures do crumble against the top-8 (9 inc. Melbourne).

On average we score 30 points less and concede 38 points more versus our fellow finalists. A whopping 68-point turnaround.

Not singling you out, but in general the "2nd in points for/2nd in points against (so we've improved; are on the right track)" delusion has to stop.

Buddy just has an increased lumbar lordosis/anterior pelvic tilt that makes his bum look bigger. It's also a big pary of why people comment on buddy's "gut".

Charlie is definitely bigger.

This. Buddy's lordosis is pretty pronounced.

also looks like we need to do some bulking a bit on the off season, probably need everyone up about roughly an extra kilo and a half to stop us getting pushed aside so much

Can we all get off this "1 & 1/2 games from top spot" business? The Crows were the least winningnest minor premiers in 20 years. Any standard year we're a minimum of 3 wins and a slight % boost from top spot.
This thread is about this year, and the negativity of this year...
So, when we talk about the negativity of another year, I won't bring it up...

Worst team in the finals too

Also it would be very concerning if players busting their guts is the reason for poor conversion.

That means the players have not put in the work to condition themselves to the gameplan.

No

Harder draw.
No fairytale run with injuries.
Declining output from Westoff, boak without the chance of being dropped.
Same deficiencies for past 3 years crippling us again.
Ken reverting to type and the merry go round of picking underperformers goes on and on.
Our younger players having second year blues/not being as good as we thought/not being developed properly.

Yep

All of these are issues to contend with. I see 2018 as a transition year with our older guys handing the batten to the youth.

I see the youth having their ups and downs but overall building a foundation for a 2019 flag window

Or not.
