Chelsea were just more efficient, more clinical. And they're very hard to break down once they get the first goal. Decent performance from us considering the core of the team is missing though.

We played well yet still lost 2-0. Chelsea know all they have to do is defend our weak attacks and then counter or just get a free kick to score from . Hopefully we get a few players back after the IB. Still a long way to go.

Didn't expect to win but we were way better than I thought we'd be. With Verm, Fab and RvP we woulda had a shot. Fair enough Lamps was out, even with him, woulda been much closer. Can't always blame injuries though. First goal had some luck, second goal was fantastic.

Injuries is no longer an excuse, it doesn't change the fact we are inefficient and defend poorly. Too many players that only perform against minnows.

Even with Vermalaen, defense ain't that great. Need a world class CB. GK is obvious as well. Fabianski could be decent all season, still want a new keeper.

We need more direct players like arshavin and cesc, they are the only two that are a threat offensively. Nasri just passes it to sagna.

Vermaelen is excellent, but you need a strong hard arse defender alongside him. Defenders like Vidic don't grow on trees, but someone of that ilk would make you a much better team. Obviously.

Squillaci looks past it - it's what you get when you go into the bargain bin instead of spending the money you have, and I haven't seen anything in Koscielny to sugest he's any good at defending either.
