Hi all,
As some of you would no doubt be aware, we have well and truly surpassed the $2025 needed for our board to sponsor a third player. We are still $365 short of having enough for a fourth player, but we might still get there if a few more people can be persuaded to get on board. Even if we don't get there, though, to raise this much has been an amazing effort and kudos goes to everyone who has dug deep. And special mention to BTG for keeping tabs on everything while I was in Vietnam, and for explaining to me very clearly how the whole things works.
Anyhow, as in 2011 and 2012 we will sponsor Ben Howlett and Travis Colyer. The great news is that due to so many people chipping in, you now have the opportunity to pick a third and potentially (if we raise enough) fourth player to sponsor in addition to those two.
I think the easiest way to do this will be to have this poll focus on the third player. Then, if we do get the $2700 raised to have enough for a fourth player, we can sponsor the player who comes second in this poll, as well as the one who comes first. Does anyone have a better idea than this? It just seems the easiest way to go about it, to me.
Just a note, can I please ask that you only vote if you have already pledged or will pledge to donate- votes of people who haven't put their money where their mouth is, so to speak, will not be considered.
I've gone for basically all draftees from 2010 to present who are still with the club, with the exception of Heppell as he is already quite high profile and probably has enough people elsewhere lining up to be his man (or woman!).
Vote away, guys. The paperwork has to be given to the club by February 1 so I'll need to have all feedback finalised by January 31 at latest. Therefore, this poll will be open for a week- until January 27.
