well we don't have anymore pace than we did last week. I'd rather have waston and pev than campo and MJ. Waston and pev are more consistent whereas Mj has had a shocker of a season and campo is an old hack

Want have to worrie about that the coach wont be there next year so i guess he will just bite his time. Bit dissappointing that he did not get a game though.
You wanted young players in the side, you wanted to lose.
All have either played less than 50 games or are 21 and under.

we all know he will come in for hirdy. earlier in the year jobe was named as an emergency and then was a late inclusion. he then had a great 5 or 6 games. maybe sheeds is seeing if lightning can strike twice
after hearing what sheeds said during the week about us playing kids you may be right. the only guy that was an inclusion that i would expect to be playing for us next year was ant's boyLooks like the board is now picking the team, can't wait until next year

The bitterness comes from finishing bottom 4 - 3 years in a row and playing the same players that have failed over and over and over again.
FFS.... I can maybe understand 1 coming in but to bring in both in on a ground we've struggled for run is pure incompetence.
I've cracked and I've had enough. I've sat through the past few years with hope that things can turn around but there is not much sign of that on the horizon.
It's funny how Sheedy said in the press conference last week that it's time to play the kids yet the ins this week are Hird, Campo, MJ.

It's funny how you keep ignoring that Hocking will play his first game.
That Hird won't play and Watson will.
That Gumby is playing his third game and Reimers his second.
And that we only have one other kid who is fit enough to play, besides Bradley who has Lloyd, Lucas and Gumby playing in his position.
I wanted young players in win, lose or draw.
I specifically requested no Campo, MJ, JJ, Heff, Bolton in any of the remaining games.
Only way I can see them getting a game is if they announced their retirement during the week and they wanted one farewell game.
It's gross incompetence not to get more games into any of Houli, Bradley, Johns.
There is no spot for Bradley or Johns unless we drop Lloyd, Lucas, Gumby, Michael or Fletcher.
Houli seriously wasn't that good on Sunday. His ball use was rather poor and he was far too rushed at VFL level.

It's also quite funny that we are playing 2 guys in Campo and MJ (slow, past it) that won't be at the club next year.

Hille is out so there's a spot for Bradley. If Ryder is going to play ruck at points in time Lucas/Gumby can go back and let Bradley play forward.
We need to see if he can play forward at AFL level.
Hocking has never been that great at VFL level and has much much less chance of making it than Houli. I'd rather get games into Houli then give Hocking a run.
The kids training and preparation has been nothing less then impeccable and he gets shafted this way be a bitter and senile old man?

No, he didn't get a game because he doesn't pick up his opponent, when he has the ball he puts himself under pressure by making bad decisions and ends up either handballing to the wrong option or bombing it high and wide unless he's actually running through the corridor.

gumby is a CHF, forget about him playing in defence. we don't need 3 tall defenders anyway as the matchups will look like this:

we know houli has what it takes to cut it at afl level. we need to find out if hocking has it aswell
Just as an outsider looking in, it's obvious that Sheedy's changes to the team are perplexing to say the least, but especially considering you guys are still in contention to play finals. I can understand resting senior players towards the end of the season if your team has no chance of making the finals, but seeing as you're still a minute chance, you'd have greater potential of giving Carlton a shelacking with your best team on the park (Hille, Wato etc.) As the ladder shows, percentage is the most important at present and could be the deciding factor as to whether Essendon is September bound.
