OK, I'll just speak for myself. I hope Essendon never wins another game in the history of the world and I don't give a crap if I upset their poor little fans who would like to come on here and tell us how much they wuv the Saints. I wuv you Saints, you poor, pathetic, no-hoping team that will never win anything. You're my second favourite of all the teams. Because you've always been crap.

Great to see Lynch get his chance, but I hope they will not play him (forward) out of position.

He found his position in the backline for Sandringham over the last weeks and his excellent form should allow Gilbert to run out his form slump as a mobile forward. Gwilt (except that his form has been very good lately) is another option to go forward.

We had Dal-Santo the week before. Goddard the week before that.

This week? Maybe Montagna, or Gilbert. Maybe Lenny, maybe McQualter. Who knows.

It was pretty clear that the "rest the whole team" tactic last year was a failure as the team failed to capture the momentum they had enjoyed up to that point.

At least, please, please, please, make a contest out of this. Call me an optimist but I'm still not writing us off.

Whether we win or not, please, better effort than the first half. I can live with a loss but I can't live with the terrible effort of our boys in the first half.

It's not neccesarily irreconcilable. But the supposed "unbreakable" defence is getting blown to pieces by anyone who can run. We could at least off set the all out attack running teams such as Carlton and Essendon employ by kicking a few goals to force these sides into pulling back and having to think about defending. We can't even do that. Run at St Kilda and you've pretty much all but sewn it up.

Look im sure we're not completely dead, still think we'll give the finals a good shake, but considering how much we centre around defense, we won't be having a very enjoyable September if it continues to leak like it has the past month.
