F1 2023 - The Rise of Oscar

I don't think its essential to do it at multiple teams, but rather do above expected in a car that isn't considered the best on the grid.

Max has still driven solidly in the years that Red Bull were not the best car, and you could arguably say that his 2021 championship win was in the 2nd best car. I think he'd probably need to win another championship in a car that is not the best on the grid to be put into GOAT conversations.
That 2021 Red Bull was easily the 2nd best car that year.

What astounds me is the fact that you can’t see the track from the box!
may as well sit up back in the old country and do it from there.
A bit like AFL commentary.
On most straights the cars would be travelling at over 200km per hour.
I dont think them seeing the track would make a difference, it's not horse racing.

Alfa Romeo not going to Haas now. Negotiations broke down apparently

Its an educated guess, if Perez had a run like he did early this year again and danny ric is performing then it happens otherwise not

Must of missed this. I thought Alfa were rebranding as Audi next year
Audi is buying Sauber and rebranding when the new regs come in. Alfa were moving to Haas. Don't think Haas wanted to give up naming rights though.

Silly season could get interesting next year.

Of course Gene didn't want to give up naming rights. He is only in the sport to promote his company.
300 million spent on advertising.. seems overt just for ads.

Alonso's first season with Minardi in 2001 wasn't great. Didn't score a point.

That's a little bit of a simplistic way of looking at things when points were only awarded to the top 6 finishers, he put some astounding performances in that car at a lot of times that season, and is widely regarded as being an incredible rookie year.

At one point he even outqualified a Williams!

Also as most expected, Ricciardo on RBR standby early on if Perez fails

Hopefully, Checo typically starts the season strongly though before fading badly.
I think if it happens, it's summer break.

Won't stop the hysteria building up to the Oz GP though if Checo has a couple of rough first races.

Logan Sargeant getting another gig.
Must admit he looked a little less useless in the back end of the year.

Also makes it the first time in what seems like ages that the driver line up at the end of a season is the same as the driver line up at the start of the next season.

Wonder what EA/Codemasters are going to do to make next years game appealing.

No change in driver pairings and tracks from the current title to the next.

Paying real money for upgrades/performance and vintage cars.

Or is that already a thing?

The driver pairings have changed (slightly) since the start of this year, though.

Isn't China back on the calendar for 2024?
