Clearly Kenny instructed the blokes to keep it on the ground, press higher up and move men forward. Up until the sending off, we were playing pretty well. Even after the red we did quite alright

Lets see how we go out at Blackpool in the week, but that was a very, very encouraging performance. Even with 10 for the majority of the game we made a game of it.

There was a monumental shift in tactics, at least when we had a full quota of players on the field. We were pressing so much further up the pitch, which was the key to being relatively successful in the 08/09 season - and hadn't really been seen since.

Anybody who couldn't notice the quantam shift in tactical philosophy and performance, either has no idea or is a bad troll.

Have to back it up mid week though. But there's at least signs of improvement, and that's all anyone could've asked for today.

We aren't doubting the lack of talent, we were doubting the "huff and puff" when Roy was coach.

To you it's huff and puff but to us it's a step to recovery. "Talent" can be bought.

Have you refereed football (at a decent level)?

When players are good at diving, it looks extremely convincing (haven't seen the penalty, so I'm talking in general not about this specific event).

When has Berbatov ever dived anyway? He's certainly not what I'd refer to as a diver.

Hey its just an opinion, it's the only thing I dislike about the game but if others like yourself and NMFCMUFC like it then so be it, just because I don't like certain things about the sport shouldn't mean I can't follow it... I hate the yearly rule changes in AFL and I love the game. Also ABH I will take it as a good sign that I am not here enough to be remembered! Don't watch a lot of non Liverpool games and some people do have jobs!

Gak Attack was using the example that if the referee knows players are a diver then they shouldn't be rewarded (Nani, Gerrard have reputations for diving etc).

Berbatov doesn't have a reputation for it.

haha I refer you to the game at Old Trafford earlier in the season. Plenty of huff and puff in the second half of that one I recall when you came back from 2-0 down.

I can't stand it, but it happens and the only way you're going to stop it is if you start punishing the clubs by taking points off them.

If Berbatov was found to be diving and Man Utd lost points as a result (lets pretend it was a league game), do you think the managers wouldn't be quick to stamp it out?

Sorry if I got the wrong idea, it seemed you attacked me for saying diving was poor. A post game review of it would certainly be a step in the right direction.. even if it's not points but a suspension and fines to players but we all know FIFA would never bring it in and neither would any league. It's a great game but I just can never understand why the powers are happy to have it go on, as well as players staying down simulating a broken leg when there has been little or no contact to them.
