It could be that. One last chance to prove his worth. Now that Talia, Roughead and Roberts have been trailled in defence in recent weeks, our pool of young tall defenders is looking much better. In which case, Marko may unfortunately have to be chopped.

Also with Morris back in the mix, spots in the back 6 get a bit tight. Not a bad problem to have though...

I thought Morris was put in cotton wool for the rest of the season, to return next year?

I was talking about next year. With Austin showing a bit and Dale coming back Marko might be forced out.

Anyway, I'm aware that Dale definitely won't play until next year.

I Know Gias finding some form, but that might be asking a bit much

Cordy is being promoted because he did find form in the vfl.
I suspect that Campbell will not make the final 22. Three 'ruckmen' is still kinda top heavy but obviously the club wants to give the young talls a real good go, dont forget that we are looking to the future.
Jones is pretty good when he doesnt get molested by multiple players at every contest.
Hopefully he has enough support this week, I think it's one of our stronger forward lines for several weeks.
Cordy is fantastic when no one is on him, in fact I thought he looked brilliant on the bench! Now all Macca has to do is trade him at the end of the season which he won't we will hang onto to this poor excuse of a footballer. When one thinks about it, Jones, Cordy and Grant just delete them, they will never be any good.

Basically this mob has been pretty ordinary since the half way mark, not a win, closest chance of a win was against Carlton. This is easily the worst team I have ever seen wear the red white and blue. 1982 was a shocker, but we had a future back then, 1996 was a hiccup, 2003 and 2004 we had a school teacher as a coach, 2012 another school teacher. The Western Bulldogs can remedy the situation, firstly by ditching Williamstown and having their own reserves team and call them Footscray and they will attract sponsorship. Then we can watch them play at the Whitten Oval and we might see a few wins, reckon I would back them against the Western Bulldogs.

In all reality, they simply aren't up to it, a few individuals shine such as Griffiths (how he must be spewing he resigned last season), Picken-always tries his guts out, Jong, Smith and Wallis look great, shame Libba got drunk, Cooney is a shadow, cruelly struck down by a knee, Minson has been terrific, Boydy, Cross keep plugging along, Dickson has been admirable, Murphy up and down, Lake not interested, might as well draft him, his play today shows that he does not want to be there, and they are missing Dalhouse too. I know they have a few out, such as the always injured Tommy Williams, time he was drafted because he isn't going to hurt anyone as he never plays out a season.

So this is the first thing I would do:

Trade Deals: Brian Lake, Jarryd Grant, Justin Sherman, Tom Williams
Delist: If not traded: Grant, Sherman, Djerkurra,
Retired: Gilbee, Hargreaves,

I would have traded Higgins, but the silly buggers signed him up again, some clubs simply never learn, another crap performance from him today, ran a bit, mostly away from the ball.

Supplementary List if they had one: Cordy, Jones, they have a hell of a lot of learning to do, for their height and so called ability, they lack toughness and skills and a good 3 years away from having the slightest impact on a game.

and wait for it, I would recruit Brendan Fevola, I hear you all laughing, this guy wants to play footy, he can kick goals, and he wouldn't play up as this would be a chance from nothing. They won't pick him, cos the club is soft and lack ambition.

Summing up: Sport is now a business, has been for a while, the Western Bulldogs are failing miserably and when a business is stuffed it needs changes and drastic measures are needed. Smorgon your time has come, and we need a young vibrant president at the helm, one who is not afraid to make gutsy decisions. I though Dimma would have stepped up, maybe he is waiting for the right time. McCartney will get another year, but if they perform in the first half of 2013 as they are right now he will be sacked mid next year, similar to Primus at Port Adelaide. My choice for coach would be Scotty West, he wants to coach the dogs, he is tough and he is smart, and he is a Bulldog. At least he would bring some of the skills that are missing. Cooney will have to retire but he is no fool and I would put him straight into coaching alongside Westy. Big moves, big decisions, but the future of the Western Bulldogs Football club is at the crossroads.

I want success at this club, have supported them since I was born back in 1957, but watching them today was at times heart breaking and at other times with relish at the future, but we have to act tough now and make these decisions or we will ever be struggling for survival.

Yes I heard them say that - how do they tell, from you scanning your card?
Yeah they must get the data from Etihad and keep track. It was a good experience, but if i was a player out there seeing those crowd numbers i would be dissappointed. It has to have some sort of impact, even if its very minimal.

Yes.
Seemed like we were well outnumbered by Swans supporters????????

Nice work going to every game :)
