Faith's top 12 (Inside Source)....

I don't often agree with you Barnzy, but on this I agree with you :thumbsu:. Also interesting that the OP said that Shaun McKernan was a 'certainty' to be taken in the first round last year :eek:

BTW, just heard from my inside sources that the Dees are strongly considering Scully and Trengove with their first two picks.

We had him at 5 last year on our list.
Should have gone 1st rounder. Many clubs will regret their decision to overlook him.

The attacks on FAITH's or anyones phantom draft is unwarranted. Phantom drafts are speculative and only opinions. The point of PD is to try and decypher and discern what's going to take place on draft day. IMO, the more PD and ideas floated out there, the better I'm able to guage a players worth.
For those that want to take pot shots at those that decide to have a go at a PD, grow some balls and try doing one yourself and open yourself up to public scrutiny.

Your copping a bita flack here FAITH but id just like to say cheers :thumbsu:

People tend to take sources as a lock when in fact it often isnt its just a whisper or an opinion of someone more informed guess thats where the negative responses come from.

I enjoy reading these posts in the lead up. Educated guess work is better then guess work.

btw im tipping hurls was #1 on Adelaide list :p

Collingwood had Sidebottom and Beams within our top 10.

Carlton had Yarran and Robinson in their 10.

I'm sure every club has an "OMFG" story based on their opinions. Doesn't make them worth their pick until such time as they prove otherwise.

Good post essentially, but sometimes it gets to the stage where most PD's are just the same old regurgitated shit, where people just go with the general concensus.

Cheers for the draft faith great read and i personally think it will pan out close to this... but cant see lucas sliding that far and infact i dont recon port will let talent like that slip. If we did essendon would surely take him. If it did pan out that way sydney would be stoked!

#1 was Jack Watts.
#2 was Phil Davis.

Hurley was almost certainly somewhere in the top 10, but I don't know how far down the list Adelaide rated him.

Sorry. Made a mistake. Our top 7 last year was:
1. Watts
2. Davis;
3. Hartlett;
4. Johnstone;
5. Hurley;
6. McKernan;
7. NMs 2nd rounder (cant remember his name).

Our club were shocked Mck was still there at 28. I think Matt Rendell rated him tha bargain of the draft.

To do a rough quote of Rendells comments post draft

"Think getting MCkernan was a steel, expected him to go first round.......The bargain of the draft if he can get his body right is Jack Trengove, Port have taken a huge gamble but he was a top 5 draft pick prior to his injury complications....."

I think you have to be carefull with Rendells rankings because they are very specific to the needs of the crows.

This is absolutely true. He ranked talls almost exclusively at the top of his list, primarily because he felt they wouldn't get any this year, and they had picked up mostly mids the year before. Hartlett got in because he's a local gun but the rest were talls.

So he was basically saying McKernan was the 5th best tall from that draft.

I remember hearing that Rendell really rated Wright. Personally I think he just really rates kids with pretty blonde hair :p

If Treng wasnt injured would have been top 10. But the fact was he was injured, so no bargain.
Mckern had nothing wrong with him. Should have gone 1st rounder no doubt.

All clubs have rankings based on needs. We needed talls, therefore we ranked talls higher. Shows how highly we value Hartlett though.
