My save corrupted and had to start over. Literally have not done a single quest. Got to level 7 through exploring the top part of the map and building up Sanctuary (have a pub, Mama Murphy Drug den and Home.)

Onto Starlight Drive in and can build that too..

Have not even met the minutemen yet

Just finished the main story with the Minutemen.

-Game is marred by constant glitches. Literally every second mission I would have to pause and google how to trick the game into working. I can't think of a glitchier game I've ever played. I've still got 3 missions on my list that I've completed and won't **** off.
-Story collapsed near the end. I didn't make enemies of any of the factions, so for a mission or two I just ran through without being shot at by anyone.

Similiarly, I went and destroyed the institute with the minutemen, and suddenly everything to do with the Raiders has disappeared and I can never do those missions again. Were they pro-institute because of the synths inside?

Kellogg said that my son would be older than I expected about 58 times in that mission. As if I wouldn't note that down for later.

-I don't get the option to say what I actually want my character to say.

When I'm talking to Father initially at the Institute, why do I get all these useless dialogue options? If the Institute is so peaceful, why do they take people and replace them with synths? I want to grill the campaigner.

-There are 7 achievements for missions I didn't do, that I assume I'll have to replay the game to get.

Overall I enjoyed playing, but the glitches and story issues were frustrating and brought it down a notch for me. It was my first Fallout (and Bethesda) game, and when it worked it was pretty good.

Quest bugged out for me, wouldn't proceed past first room apparently that happening wasn't uncommon and waiting around a week game time would reset the rooms but i completely forgot about going back.

This is the most bugged out game I've ever played (I haven't played Unity though), yet I still enjoyed it. If it's other lesser games with half the bugs that FO4 has I'd be pulling my hair out

It's a good game with lots to do, more than FVN and F3, but I don't find myself needing to play this like I did with the previous versions.
I feel slightly bored at the moment, I've explored heaps but only seem to have main missions to do which I'm trying to avoid.
I can't believe, yet kudos must give given, to those who are like level 80 odd with 100+ hrs into the game with so much to do.
I'm level 59 and feel like I've done a ton of side missions. Perhaps someone who is high level and high hours could do us a solid and give a rundown of missions completed so I can compare to my own. Maybe someone that hasn't done a heap of main missions (I just did the memory den stuff).

I got a mate on steam I know from another game, he got the game on December 3 and he has....384 hours.
Apparently he has built up every single base with 40+ people.
He is one of those people that can game all day and night, so I don't think much, if any, of those hours are idle.

I see this as an upgrade on the early days of fallout 3 and NV. I couldnt play NV.. it would literally crash and freeze every 5 minutes (at this stage I didn't have the internet to download patches)

All of these meh reviews of the ending has me playing all of the side quests. Level 61 and exploring as much as i can.

For anyone reading this thread and is about to start playing from scratch - i recommend googling the locations of the bobbleheads that give you a permanent increase in one of the SPECIALS. Nothing worse than spending that perk point for your level 10 agility, only to find the bobblehead the next day that permanently increases it...

Speaking of google, i still havent come across the alien crash site naturally yet so that might be the next thing to tick off the list.

You can increase all of your specials to 11 if your save the bobblehead for when each special is already on 10.

I acknowledge the story deficiencies and the odd bug. I still think its the most superior of the series though.

3 was good but i hit the level cap early and the rest of the game felt pointless. Plus shooting out of vats was impossible

I quite liked NV but the companion interaction and ai was pretty naff. The unclimbable cliffs got annoying too

I think once the DLC drops, I'll easily rank this the highest

What does it mean when I'm trying to build something in a settlement, like a Wall, I have the materials but when I select it it just doesn't show up for placement? I haven't hit the size limit.

If this is another glitch I have to question whether this game was ever tested before release.

Happens to me all the time, usually when the stranger spawns in a wall or too close to the enemy.

I must be the odd one out.
LVL 39, never had the Mysterious Stranger miss, and have had minimal bugs.
Will wait until i finish the story, but i have NV slightly ahead, i haven't lost as many hours as other have with settlements, rather go exploring. Was a big fan of the NV story and the yes man, plus got to gamble

It's OK though it's pretty pointless. From the official guide I think it says that the difference in 10 to 11 is negligible. Probably more beneficial to use the extra point on perks instead of special.

The writing in this game is inferior to fallout 3 and NV, which is sad for me coz I place great importance in good writing/story telling

Needs more quests like the USS constitution which are just humorous and funnier dialogue options

Wish there was more stuff to spend caps on. Got 20k with not much to do with it. Be cool if you could get an extra rank 4 mod for your power armour by spending 10k or something.

Have you bought the strongest legendary armour from vendors.. they are expensive mofos.

Level 60. Finally decided to visit the institute

Ever since i got the killshot perk I've been on v hard difficulty. Still not too much in the way of dramas.

Spent some of my massive bank on the overseer guardian. Bit of a beast
