Pulled from the Midfield Future thread and comments around BtGs favourite Essendon player, non Essendon player etc:
Thought I'd put it out there to see who people rate as their favourite player outside Essendon and why. Doesn't necessarily have to be the best player in a team, could be their attitude, their skillset, their beard etc which makes them a favourite for you.
For me right now it's a toss up between Jack and Cotchin.
I love where Jack has come from and the player he's becoming. Can play a defensive or offensive midfield role, hard as nails, kicks a goal, does the hard work. He's a player I admire.
Cotchin is just a jet. Love watching him play, except when he's carving it up against us (imagine if he converted those 5 behinds in round 22) and even then I can't help but be impressed.
A few years ago it was Rooke. The haircut, the mo, and the playing style. A real throwback to the era I grew up watching.
It used to be that Stanton was my favourite Essendon player, Goddard my favourite non-Essendon player and Fyfe my favourite deity but now I need to find a new non-Essendon player.
Stants is still my #1.
Edit: probably Mundy
