Simple question, Brendan Fevola or Matty Lloyd.

P.S Sorry if this has been posted before, im very slow!
Fev easily. He gets his goals through strong marks and great kicks.
Loyd by acting for frees and running into space while his man attacks the ball and it spills to him or handballs over the top. Lloyd past his best, Fev by a mile

YES! someone said it! i was too much of a panzy 2 say it coz ppl allways crack i (allthough it can be very entertaining). Lloyd gets his goals from his teams performance, not his performance. Fev's work rate way higher than Lloyd

Are you asking who you would pick now or who you thought has been better over their careers????

For current value, Fev coz hes younger ( i think ) But over their careers Lloyd coz of his ability to kick goals and continuously play at the ball even if he does play for frees.........

\WHo would you prefer to have.. a player who plays for frees even though he may or may not get them or a player who whinges and just stops playing when he doesnt get one???

Over time-Lloyd by the length of five Flemington straights.
Right now-Fevola he is in good form, but which Brendan will come out to play next year?

I'd be more worried about which Brendan will come out and play next week, let alone next year.

Lloyd because of your ridiculous name

and why is eddie betts ridiculous? hes a good player, everyone needs a good small crumming farward, or in collingwoods case, just a good farward:)

Absolute myth as Fev gets his share of free kicks as well.
Lloyd-218 games, 183 free kicks for, 202 against. 788 goals, 358 behinds.
Fevola-131 games, 118 frees kicks for, 130 against. 358 goals 245 behinds.
Lloyd is a better shot for goal also.

Fevola is playing some good footy now, but I would say Lloyds been a lot better player over his career than Fevola.

The statistics above prove that Lloyd is easily the better player. A difference in career goals per game average of nearly 1.5 goals (lloyds 4.1 to fevs 2.7) proves that he has been (as many have already said) better over the years but looking closely at this season he has shown enough to prove there is still a fair gap between them. Consider that he is coming off a season ending hamstring injury (traditionally the toughest injury for full forwards to recover from) as well as the fact he has had to share a forward line with an in-form scott lucas, but still manages to be 9 goals off fevola (simply 2 average performances of 4 goals a game for the 2 games lloyd has missed and he is right there next to him).

I know people will say over the years that lloyd has had a much better side to feed the ball to him but IMO having to share a forwardline with the likes of Lucas and Hird while still getting the best defender is just as if not more damaging to his statistics than fevola sharing the forwardline with absoloute duds and getting the ball kicked to him 100% of the time.

Over his career, of course.

But right now, at the moment Fevola is the better full forward. Been inconsistent this year yet still 5 ahead on the Coleman table, is the reigning AA FF and Coleman medalist.

Lloyd was playing alright this year, but his hamstring is playing up again and it will probably be a concern for the rest of the year.

Lloyd, however, is playing a totally different role to what he used to play - more willing to play for the team as a whole which is more important rather than the individual Coleman (could explain his high tally as well as his skills)

I know it was said on Ten I think but this year he seems much more willing to play for team glory rather than personal glory.

Don't forget that Lloyd has played less games this year than Fevola.

I chose Fev, if you were choosing your FF for the next season he has been the best FF in the game last 18 months.

Fev atm, Lloyd career

This year Lloyd averages 3.66 goals a game, Fev averages 3.75.

It's two more wasn't it?

Going by their averages, they'd probably be neck and neck. But the hammy has come back to haunt him, ever since he did it he hasn't been as fast off the lead nor as confident in packs.

Fev's been on and off - maybe if he can string some consistencey, he may get the ton. If he can get 20 more up until Round 11 then he'll be halfway there.

Yeah, Lloydy's missed a couple. Fevola is going well and it would be good to see him get the ton, its not beyond him if he really switches on.
I do agree that Lloydy has lost a bit of speed, and I doubt he will get to the ton, as he's been playing up the ground a bit more than he used to, so if he gets to around 60 or 70 and provides us with target roaming between half forward and full forward, hes done his job. We seem to be playing more varied forward line than in previous years, which could be good as it makes us a little less predictable, and also puts the emphasis on the team to kick a winning score, rather than just Lloyd.

Better career so far = Lloyd ( has had the opportunity to play in better teams than Fev)

Better at the moment = Fev

Better football brain = Lloyd

More gifted player = Fev

More accurate kick = haven't looked at stats, but guessing Lloyd

Longer Kick = Fev
