haha he was OK. Plays the CF role well in my 4-3-1-2 formation. Crouchy and Defoe up front. Pav sold, just getting in early.

I'm not sure why people are saying it is harder to score in 10. Maybe in the team play it is, I haven't played a game yet, but in Be A Pro I found it just the same maybe even easier. I scored 4 goals in my very first game in the Villa reserve team.

I like the achievements that you have to get throughout the game. Makes playing the game more of a challenge when you need to string together 10 passes and stuff like that.

yeah... we do mean team play.

Dam. Should have checked this thread. Had the day off, and would of picked it up. Tomorrow will have to do..

Unfortunately EA still haven't penalized rage quitters :thumbsd:

I'm new to FIFA on the playstation 3 network and i am not to sure if this is meant to be but on the PC version, if a player rage quits when losing, the game is not recorded and neither person is rewarded with a win or loss.

However, on the playstation 3 network, i was up 2-0 against some guy using arsenal while i was using bayern, and yer, he left. I went online to check my rank stats and it says i was awarded the win, however it does not record the game, teams or the user id of the person who left. Fluke or is this a new feature of FIFA 10?

That's interestng nooB, im not quite sure but im willing to find out.

In 09 you also had 5 mins (game time) to quit or leave the game, which was for the purpose of escaping games with major lag but now players leave when they concede an early goal.

Need to find out the new rules.

Not many people on this board play online..

After destroying Hull (with Liverpool) and North Queensland (with Melbourne), I bumped the difficulty to 'world class' to see what the gap from 'professional' would be. You have to work a LOT harder and defenders fill up space a lot more, giving you less of an opportunity to hit easy through balls. I got comprehensively beaten in the few games I played on world class, but I think over time it will be worthwhile sticking on this level.

Here's a very nice goal I scored against City: http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/9815353

Another cool thing I noticed is that when you play with Australia, the last few bars of the national anthem play throughout the stadium as you walk on to the field. I haven't tested this with other international teams yet, but it is a very nice touch!!

Pretty awesome game. Played a few co-op games with a mate last night on Professional and will probably stick to this level for a bit! It feels like a mix between FIFA and PES at times with the amount of control you have over your players.

My first game was an FA Cup match playing as Everton vs Leeds... and it snowed! Made conditions very tough but it looked awesome. Had to come from 1 down to win 3-1 a.e.t. Next round we lost 2-0 to Chelsea who were much tougher opposition than a divvy 3 mob.

Its much more difficult to score when 1 on 1 with the keeper.
Also through balls to the striker is much harder.

I like it alot more than Fifa 09

haha there is allready an update, gd signs!

I'm off to download the Bernabou and that Virtual Season thingo, make sure we don't lose to Burnley this time! :p

Played a friend only Legendary between Deportivo & Real Madrid for a bit of a challenge. Ended up holding them 0-0 in the first half until they absolutely destroyed me in the second half. It was like they switched on a gear and banged in 4 goals in quick succession.

1 on 1s with the keeper are so difficult this year. Maybe too difficult? Trying to get a 1 on 1 is hard enough as is.

been playing it all morning..
am playing on pro at the moment i think.. eventually when i start flogging teams ill put the difficulty up..
absolutely enjoying it, had a game against chelsea that was 3-2 in my favour.
the transfer thing is a bitch to work out..with the remaining weekly wages (as i wanted to get cheillini from juventus),
its good to see the midfielders score more goals so you dont rely on the strikers..

Hi guys.

I have noticed a lot of you dont play online games. I must say i haven't got Fifa10 yet but pretty much all i do is play online in Fifa09. I never get any lag and it doesn't matter who i play against.

I find playing against the computer quite boring and the same for most games.

This is FIFA09 by the way.

Make the switch to FIFA 10. You won't look back. The servers will start getting pretty busy today. :thumbsu:

I played '09 online on the 360 quite a bit, granted not much over the last few months too many other games took my attention away from sports titles in general (meant Fifa, Madden, Tiger Woods, NHL '09 all were shelved and barely played again).

Funny story, the weekend i purchased '09 last year was when i first experienced the rrod. Was not happy and frustrated enough to the point, where while waiting for the console to be repaired, i wound up purchasing the ps3 version.... just so i could get my fifa fix (wound up only being a 12 day turn around before i resumed playing the 360 version).

I don't "rage quit" either, i'm not the best at the game, while it depends on the team lineup... it's rare that i'll be in front (or still have scores level) by the end of the first half. Although if i'm losing by 3+ goals i do tend to give up towards the end and start silly tactics (pulling the goalie out, to give myself an extra bit of run from the defence).

I've had a few awesome games in the past where i'm down and manage to squeeze in a miracle goal or two before the end of regular time, forcing it into extra time etc :D.
