He most likely payed $200 for it, not sure if $250 would have got it.

Maybe $400 -$500 would be more convincing.

I had a Judd #3, maybe 2003-06 two rows in front. Had some wear, but yeah i didn't have the guts to ask also!

I *might* carry cash just for those occasions...

I know it's not what you guys would call a whale, but I'd love to get my hands on the 2011 training jumper. Much harder to find than I thought.

Looks like a badly faded St Kilda jumper. Have none popped up on the GWS auctions?

Saw a girl at the footy the other day wearing my whale, a 2005 heritage, was so close to going up to her and offering to buy it off her but chickened out haha! Has anyone ever done this to a random at the footy?

Had the reverse happen
I've had someone come up to me and offer me $200 for a jumper I was wearing.
Garry Foulds Essendon 1986 jumper.
It was back when the club changed to the bigger NUBRIK patch, so it was probably 1987-88.
Proper sewn stitching on the flat material numbers, sewn on VFL & Nubrik patches. 1 slightly bigger than the 0
He was obviously thinking it was the 84-85 premiership jumpers but I knew the club let the players have them after they won a flag (unless they wore lace-ups)
$200 was big money in 1987-88, and I thought long and hard about taking it.
But then he said he didn't have it on him and that we'd have to catch up through the week and I just never did anything about it.

Noticed a bit of interest in the 95 freo jumpers. I have 1 in as good condition as you will find. Have no need for it so would be happy to sell (just been sitting in a draw for many many years!). Any interest?

It is the woolen material (tey switched to silk 96 i think), size 100cm across the chest. old afl logo obviously and sponsors sekem/hard yakka. No number on it however.
So what size would that be?

Also, do you mean the green away one?

Is it sleeveless?

If it's a long sleeve, S-M green one, I'll give you an offer.

This is a note for Adelaide people. The Arkaba is doing some renovations and they look to be renovating their Sports Bar. I know that hanging on their roof were a whole lot of AFL guernseys. Given that they were all from the early 2000's they may replace them and some of you may be interested in them. Might be worth someone ringing them and seeing what has happened to them.

My whale arrived today

I've wanted one for ages and I finally found one on ebay after looking for months. It's in good condition for a 12 year old jumper although there are a couple of scratch marks around the shoulder.

Good get, I put my alarm on to pounce in the morning but turned it off and went back to sleep haha. I would've been prepared to pay probably $100. :thumbsu:

Finally snagged the infamous and hideous "sideways anchor" (97-99) away Fremantle guernsey off ebay today. So happy. The only guernsey in Fremantle's history that they've worn in the AFL I don't own is the predominantly green guernsey that they wore in their first game...

So if anyone wants to get rid of theirs in an M or L...? ;)

I would love the hawthorn one that they played in and it was a t-shirt. That in tshirt or short sleeved form would be a nice addition to my collection.

Cheers, thanks for the response. :thumbsu:

Love the look of the jumper. Something out of the box.

A guy from my footy club wears that one to training...

Got another of mine tonight, a late 90s Vic Metro guernsey (presumably U18s) with the Vic Metro logo (seller thought it was Moonee Valley Football League!), 90s AFL logo and Smokefree logo under the Vic Metro patch, with pale blue 'V' and numbers.

Will go nicely with my Country one.

Nice pickup! Always liked how Vic Metro U18s had the pale blue V.

I remember a period when Vic Country wore gold with a red V... that'd be more of a whale to hunt down.
