Well that would be extremely disappointing for him, he has had a very good pre-season.Hearing Willmot no certainty for round 1.

Maybe we are bringing in Joyce and still playing Rayner in defence?Hmm i’d assume all of Prior, Tunstill and Robertson playing if so. And that Berry is fit.
Or one of them misses and either Joyce or Fort playing.
Oh and Answerth.
Got all my bases covered haha.
I reckon the main explanation between most of our teams and Fagan’s ones are first and foremost we want the best 22 - no weaknesses, just the best places. Fagan and co would know a lot more about gameplan and structure and worry more about that.
Of course there’s also playing Jarryd Lyons injured…
This has probably been covered but Payne is the most interesting watch for me this year. He has known all preseason that he has a spot for the season and (hopefully) won't be in and out of the team. Will be interesting to watch him develop and get glimpses of his ceiling.
I think he'll earn a good contract extension this season.
Agree, I think he has shown he can play to the level. Albeit there are some pretty defined weaknesses. Strikes me as a big confidence player, so playing week in week out will help with that.
Yeah good point.Maybe we are bringing in Joyce and still playing Rayner in defence?
So a backline of -
Joyce Harris Starcevich
Rich Payne Coleman
And Rayner as the seventh on the bench?
and did well for a young bloke in the finalsWell that would be extremely disappointing for him, he has had a very good pre-season.
Berry will play on the wing like he did for 90% of last season. Matho and Lyons both on the outer, probably less mid time for guys like Zorko, Bailey and Rayner as well.Hi Lions fans. With Dunkley and Ashcroft certain to be added to your midfield, who do you think misses out?
Mathieson? Berry? Lyons?
What do you guys think?
The club really like him and would like to find a way to get him in the team so anything is possibleWhat are the chances that Lohmann is a smokie for round 1? Seemed to have a good tank last season so can get pretty high up the ground similar to how Tunstill played last week, he also just has a knack for making things happen in all facets of the game.
Doubtful - coming off an interrupted pre-season.What are the chances that Lohmann is a smokie for round 1? Also Zorks last night on the news seemed very confident he would be right to play this Saturday, so I assume he is playing forward and therefore Cam playing back.Doubtful - coming off an interrupted pre-season.
So Zorko likely? I was starting to worry he’d miss half the seasonAlso Zorks last night on the news seemed very confident he would be right to play this Saturday, so I assume he is playing forward and therefore Cam playing back.
Still could. So Zorko likely? I was starting to worry he’d miss half the season
Although this may be a good game to test him out as Port to me are certainly not the quality of Melbourne in Round 2.Still could.
Hopefully not a Lyons scenario all over again
Zorko is 34 years old so soft tissue injuries will be much harder to recover from as has been the case this pre-season.
A fit Zorko is in the team but his preparation since his issues is far from ideal
It is a very long season, and even the next 3 games after Port will be difficult to win
We have the players to cover him round 1 so why take any risks
Hope is is overlooked for this game. No need to play VFL either.
