Geelong by 17.

After Survivor finished last night I decided to catch up with news from my old school so went to their website to read the latest newsletter. I still know a few teachers who are there even twenty years after I left. Unfortunately I read that one of the teachers who I became good friends with in the early 90s, Barb, passed away on my birthday two weeks ago. She's the second one of my friends from there to have died since I've returned. Another died the year before I returned. We all taught in the Junior School at the time, and Barb was the Year 8 Coordintor. As a former Year 7 and Year 8 Coordinator I use to compare notes with her. She was a former nun and she still had a bit of the old nun in her. Even the teachers feared her at times. LOL However, she was a dedicated teacher who had a heart of gold.

I'm glad that my memory has not deteriorated too much in the past year, so that I can relive happy memories of those who became a part of my life. Memory eternal.
