Jungle Jims Fish and Chips on Hanover Road in Vermont South was one of the best places to buy fish and chips and I used to go there every week but since new owners have taken over it is going downhill and I go elsewhere.

Jungle Jims Fish and Chips on Hanover Road in Vermont South was one of the best places to buy fish and chips and I used to go there every week but since new owners have taken over it is going downhill and I go elsewhere.

Same thoughts. "Jim" was by far the best Fish and chip cook ever, only problem is that he never smiled. The new Chinese owner...Well I've seen him smile even though he doesn't know how to speak a word of english...

Now I just go to Hanover's Chicken and Chips.

We go from time to time to Hanover Chicken and Chips as well. Red Rooster on the corner of Highbury and Blackburn Road we used to go a lot of times until they knocked it down and put a Hungry Jacks there. A new Red Rooster has opened at 391 Canterbury Road, Vermont so we alternate between Hanover Chicken and Chips and the new Red Rooster.

Captain's Choice Fish and Chips in Brentford Square Forest Hill we have also been going to as well.

I miss Vic fish/chip shops. Over here in Perf, it's hard to find a decent one anywhere.

And everytime you say " I'll have a piece of flake thanks"..they look at you and go "What?".

"Shark!! I'll have the ####ing SHARK!"...and some potato cakes too.."What?"...some ####ing potato scallops FFS!

And never order a hamburger from a fish&chip in Perf. It's just not worth the disappointment.

The Groper and his Wife in the City Beach Shopping Centre do a great Fish and Chips. Little bit more expensive than your average Fish and Chip shop but well worth it.

Hard to beat Ciccerellos though, maybe not the best Fish and Chips in WA like they claim to be, but they have a great location down there on Freo harbour. Fish and Chips just taste better in that sort of environment.

Any good fish and chip shops in and around the Ringwood Area? We seem to have a fair share of **** Fish and chip shops.

There's one in the Braybrook/Maribyrnong area that are just flawless. Best chips eva.

I forgot what the place was called, haven't been there for a long while. But I think their uniforms are pink, and they have a lot of Asian workers there.

My mum went early this year and brought back a huge feast for the whole extended family. Still in good form. Great form.

I live in San Remo, takeaway is pretty crap so we often drive to Phillip Island for the more...upper class, touristy, expensive food.

There's a pub up in Darwin that has the best fish I've ever had, I think it's called 'The Tap'? Not 100% sure though.

Usually you can tell the quality of your fish and chip store by the people who run it.

Asians: Not that great......

Greeks: Great, though some aren't.

Our F&C we usually get is from Kailis in Freo, not the best but they're close to home. There was an awesome one in Willagee when I was a kid several years ago which has since shut down.

Most fish and chip shops around my area are exactly the same.

There's one Greek family who buys shops and turns them into fish and chip stores then sells them to asian people after schooling them how to run the shop.

Fish and chip shops are weird here in Scotland. You can't get flake or garfish, you get Haddock. Or Haddock.

Eureka Fish & Chips (on Eureka st) here in Ballarat are the best with their only downfall being horrible dim sims.

Grilled Fish n Chips in Bayswater is amazing. Except, like everything in Perth, you need a mortgage for a couple of shnappers.

'Big Fish' down in Langwarrin VIC has the best fish n chips in our area.

Every fish & Chip shop in Perth seems to be owned by Asians, and they're all shit and expensive.

The only decent one close too me is owned by Greeks in East Cannington.

Greeks definitely make the best fish and chips. The one I used to go to was owned by Greeks, it was great, not expensive, and they always gave you free stuff. Now it's owned by Asians, I had it once, never went back again.

My new one is owned by Greeks again, and im back to quality fish and chips, with a couple of freebies thrown in

In my area it used to be Jungle Jims Fish and Chips in Vermont South, Vic until it changed hands. These days I go to Captain's Choice Fish and Chips which is in Brentford square in Vermont.
