Gonna be honest, never liked him. Stopped following the Broncos after he was made captain and made it permanent after Murdoch bought the franchise.Gordon Tallis is an absolute legend!

Too many head knocks.Gonna be honest, never liked him. Stopped following the Broncos after he was made captain and made it permanent after Murdoch bought the franchise.
And this is from someone who used to insist on giving my grade 3 classmates an update on the ARL results of the weekend![]()
Did you used to work at City Rowers?Tallis is a w***er. Served him once when I worked hospo and he was unfriendly to say the least. Doesn't take a lot to be respectful to waiters, and you could tell he just felt superior.

Agree 100% about Tallis, and a few others from that era.
I wont mention the name but >Tallis is a w***er. Served him once when I worked hospo and he was unfriendly to say the least. Doesn't take a lot to be respectful to waiters, and you could tell he just felt superior.
Just dropped on yoochoob
I've just started getting into that! Great fun. I got 20.15 today, might be a record for me. Obscure Bears players FTWWatched some of that games and was able to use Andrew Bews in today's FootyGrid.
As long as we get the job done and finish 2nd that is my pre finals tip as well.So on theses numbers, it is a Brisbane Melbourne Grand Final.
Do you remember what our 1 red stat was Dalions?Heard some interesting stats today.
On 32 Key Stats that are kept in todays game, they worked out the teams that are most likely to push at the end of the year off these key areas.
Out of the 32 stats they gave a green mark if the team is in the top 6 for that stat, red if in the bottom 6 and white in the middle six.
I have listed the top 5 teams because they rate the best in these stats anyway:
Collingwood - 15 green - 4 red - 13 white
Brisbane - 23 green - 1 red - 8 white
Port - 15 green - 7 red - 10 white
Melbourne - 24 green - 2 red - 6 white
Carlton - 14 green - 7 red - 11 white
So on theses numbers, it is a Brisbane Melbourne Grand Final.
Yes, believe it or not.Do you remember what our 1 red stat was Dalions?

we've always seemed to record a low 'pressure' rating through whatever metric champion data uses to measure it but it seems we force a lot of turnovers and are quite frantic to harass the ball carriers when the opposition has it to my eyesYes, believe it or not.
Pressure!
Which was a little surprising considering we are one of the better turnover teams.
I don't think we are a big tackling side however we still create the turnovers.we've always seemed to record a low 'pressure' rating through whatever metric champion data uses to measure it but it seems we force a lot of turnovers and are quite frantic to harass the ball carriers when the opposition has it to my eyes
not too sure how it is measured but i feel our pressure game is better than the statisticians see it
this is a good point. we are ranked 17th for tackle differential this year, being -5.6 tackles per game on our opponent on average this yearI don't think we are a big tackling side however we still create the turnovers.
Pressure ratings are measured by how much pressure is put on the oppositon as they attempt to dispose of the ball.We tend to force turnovers by employing a forward defensive press and intercepting before the ball gets to the intended target. We still do our share of tackles and smothers, but not as much as a heavy congested team such as Sydney does, who record very high pressure ratings.we've always seemed to record a low 'pressure' rating through whatever metric champion data uses to measure it but it seems we force a lot of turnovers and are quite frantic to harass the ball carriers when the opposition has it to my eyes
