It'd be one easy and non invasive way of maybe improving the game. Limit it to one head coach per side. No assistants.

Are the ex-players/coaches ever screen tested before being hired for gigs or are they hired on their profile then "trained" prior to making their on-screen bow?

I am watching the Australian cricket documentary and it seems they have about 7-8 coaches/staff hanging around the team most of the time.
