Yes. They often play a similar game, sort of a high half-forward that goes into defence or midfield at times and pretty agile for big fellas. Thoughts?

I reckon Riewoldt would be a better fit at Geelong.

We can score lots of goals through Chapman, Johnson, Stokes, Ablett etc, without needing a significant contribution from a key forward. Riewoldt would provide a perfect lead up target at CHF and even further up the ground, and would most likely revel in a role that would not burden him with goal kicking pressure. 2-3 goals every now and then would do the trick, as long as he took plenty of marks and had plenty of goal assists.

NOTE: Having said all of that, as far as a simple comparison goes Franklin is probably a fraction ahead at the moment for his proven goal kicking ability. There's no real substitute for bags of goals, and while he has been down on output lately (mostly due to inaccuracy), I think we can all be confident he'll kick 100 in more than one season. Riewoldt can't do that.

Riewoldt runs all around the ground trying to help out. Buddy plays for himself and tries to bomb them from any angle and distance. Buddy is more exciting but Riewoldt hands down is the better player.

Both quality players and top forwards but the excitement and momentum Franklin brings to his side is irreplaceable.
