Tanking at the selection table. They convinced Pav to stay on a year as the ultimate foil.Never given a chance to win by Lyon and the match committee. Blind Freddy knew we had a depleted midfield and clearances would be a problem. Meanwhile our best tackler for 2016 and one of our best wet weather players is getting 44 touches, 13 tackles and 3 goals for Peel. Stupidity was leaving out Barlow... complete and utter stupidity was not leaving out Clarke for de Boer in those conditions. If we just played our strongest team against these lower rated opposition, we might have a chance of a win and some confidence, rather than bringing the youth up as losers every week. We had Pav in the centre at times ffs, if we want slow and 34 year olds in there, we may as well have a mudlark like Barlow or battering ram like deBoer. Rant over.
Richmond didn't drop any of the talls they brought over either, despite having three emergencies on hand. Posters here have also been baying for Barlow to be dropped. Well, he was dropped and I think Blakely is in his place, and he did okay.Never given a chance to win by Lyon and the match committee. I call it developing youth, our foes call it tanking ...whatever you want to call it, it's obvious they're not picking the strongest team each week.Tanking at the selection table. They convinced Pav to stay on a year as the ultimate foil.
