First time I have had a good look at him properly in this match against Zverev. This kid really does look the goods.

You'll never now, but he should be fine depends on the recovery. They play each other so much and they respected each other as well. With Gaston it's a bit foreign for him, and to be fair those drop shots and some of the winning shots are crazily amazing plus the crowd atmosphere is like everything against him .

I really loves Thiem's on court interview. He gave massive credit to Gaston's performance but also being honest with his chance regarding next match.

He understand Diego loves the court conditions and acknowledge it will be a difficult match for him.

But I think(hope) He'll get through to semis. Should be another cracking match. Can't wait .

I think his coach had the flu, so it is probably that, but I will await word from doctor Nick on what he thinks about it.

That was a nutty night last night. Thiem taken to 5 is not a good sign. wonder if we are now seeing the effects of the US Open in the mens draw.

It is pretty messed up that we have three top ten seeds left on clay and they are Svitolina, Kvitova and Kenin. Svitolina can win as the last one standing I suppose but bookies making Swiatek the favourite is not that much of a surprise.

i get it the Swiatek love, I really do. form is great. it wasn't long ago that another teen went purple and won the French. add in the fact that Svitolina lost a set 6-0 this tournament. kenin lost 6-0, 6-0 in Rome.

I just don't think she will win. Just a (bad) hunch.

For me, It really is now or never for Svitolina, and she will have support from the crowd(1000 of them) due to going out with a French player. But if this becomes an indoors tournament........Petra smash!!!! And yes, I always overestimate Petra indoors.
