This is retro round, not heritage round.Port: We want to wear our heritage jumper
Notice how all teams have worn that jumper in the afl for periods of time? Fremantle’s is their first jumper and their away jumper, port did this against St Kilda a few seasons ago, so stop complaining it’s been doneSydney: We want to wear our heritage jumper.
AFL: Yeah no worries
Fremantle: We want to wear a heritage jumper

Port: We want to wear our heritage jumper
AFL: How does "no" sound?
I'd say it's becoming a joke, except there's no punchline
1992,1994-1996 SANFL Premiership PBs it is thenIt's a 1990s Retro Round, Port will be quite welcome to wear their inaugural AFL jumper from 1997.
It's a VFL/AFL retro round. Celebrate your SANFL premierships in the SANFL.1992,1994-1996 SANFL Premiership PBs it is then
Did you take the cheeky face out of the quote on purpose or do you just take everything too seriously? It's a VFL/AFL retro round. Celebrate your SANFL premierships in the SANFL.
You do know there is more to Port's history than the Prison Bars, right?
Time to bring out the Blue Diamond...
Save that one for Awful jumper round.Time to bring out the Blue Diamond...
There should be one. Adelaide Ken Done, Essendon big fatarse red sash, Geelong boring pre season t-shirt, Melbourne grey taking on Richmond grey, Port lightning, St Kilda fluro yellow, I'm sure there's a Sydney one, and Dogs Orange...Save that one for Awful jumper round.
(Along with Carlton original M&M, Kangaroos orange, Eagles Ochre, Dockers 3D anchor, Collingwood barcode, Lions urine stain etc)
One of the best and worst jumpers of all time (Absolutely no bias whatsoever)Collingwood barcode
Excuse me, but the 3D anchor is a thing of beautySave that one for Awful jumper round.

It looks like Freo have worn a "hard tipped" anchor and a soft nub beforeF*** me thought that was Kevin Parker wearing the jumper for a sec was about to buy 10 of them.
More seriously though, obviously incredible to see the anchor back in this way, but something just looks off. The anchor almost looks flat in a way, and no point at the tip?
Absolute thing of beautyI would love for Port to wear this against GWS:

So what is the point? All I see is people having a cry about other teams getting to wear a heritage jumper. The thing is, Port probably could quite easily negotiate wearing the Prison Bars for a Heritage Round if they wanted to (could just point to the ol' Eddie arrangement), but it's the insistence wanting to wear it at all time is stopping any sort of progress on the issue to take place. Not the point.
Could be the first time we see them wear the clash with black shorts...It leads to will, Richmond wear their full home, or clash, or clash with black shorts. Seeing as they are already over there they might not have known about this Freo kit.
SBS lol accurate thoughSo what is the point? All I see is people having a cry about other teams getting to wear a heritage jumper. It would help to take a step back and celebrate the kind of heritage they already have in their short time in the AFL. Like you guys won your first premiership in the inaugural SBS jumper and the club barely even acknowledges it exists apart from a one-off jumper a few years back.
Point is, you make it out like Port is being 'barred' (no pun intended lol) from celebrating its heritage when it's clearly not. There is so much other aspects of your rich history that could be celebrated and are yet to be.
What insistence on it being worn all the time? There is no such insistence. Sure, there's fans that would love that but as far as the club is concerned, that's simply not true.So what is the point? The anchor is comically huge. For some reason a lot of manufacturers just cannot get the dimensions right. Same thing happened with the Doggies' retro jumper from not too long ago.The anchor looks fat and cartoon like but it still looks great
It's quite a mainstream view among the supporters and the slope is slippery, why stop at just Showdowns? Why not Heritage Round too? May as well just be all Home games at that point. Just following it to its logical end. What insistence on it being worn all the time? There is no such insistence.
