Who do you want to win ?
Port Power or West Coast

Personally, Id rather the West Coast tear Port Power a new one which would bring out their choking taunts that would lead to a straight sets exit:D

Ive thought long and hard on this but sorry;I cant bring myself to barrack for that other rabble; even if it does leave a door open for an AAMI prelim.

If we are good enough to get through ( and theres a long way to go ) Id much rather go to the west and get the "ape" off our backs then live with the possibilty that one more win a Port Power:p. could have a GF appearance.

Thoughts?

Port in a heartbeat without any hesitation.

If we beat Hawthorn - and I think we will - that lines us up against the loser of Geelong v Kangaroos which is likely to be the Kangaroos in week 2.

The prize for beating Hawthorn and the Kangaroos is big. A virtual home preliminary final against Port in the prelim and a real chance to advance to the grannie.

Go the Power!! :thumbsu:

I cannot bring myself to support the SMEARS that’s blasphemy.

If the lesser of two evils is supporting the West Coast and then we have to go to Perth for a preliminary final, well so be it.

You have to beat the best to be considered the best.

I cant bring myself to support Port Power, just in case we dont get to the prelim - or even lose it:eek:.

I just hope whoever wins this Friday does so on the back of 8-10 reports or 2 week injuries.

How's that gonna work? If WCE smash port .. they'll be straight into a home PF against most likely kangas, hawks or us.
Port Lose they play winner of Syd/Pies....the winner of this game plays winner of Geelong V North

Almost worth seeing Port lose and go to the "Harder" side fo the draw...Mind you they lose it brings WCE into our side....

I despise West Coast more than Port Adelaide. A showdown prelim final would be massive, and it would guarantee a South Australian side in the Grand Final. We would have a much better chance of beating Port at home than West Coast at Subi. Definately want Port to win

Ditto for me.

Would be great for this state to have a preliminary final at AAMI. :thumbsu:

Crows >>>> Power.

Hence why I will be barracking hard for Port Power as it is better for us to play them in the PF than WCE.

I honestly cannot believe anyone would be wanting WCE to win. I cannot fathom it.

Definitley Port. Any other conclusion is silly. I beleive we are good enough to make the grand final but history tells us, a Prelim final against West Coast is not what we want - especially in Perth.

Though having said that, Cousins is off the drugs so we may stand more of a chance;)

I wonder how big the crowd would be if there was no limit to the amount of seats available.

Would we get 75,000?

I would think at least 70,000.

Some SANFL members go to both games, so can't count them twice ... but given the interest in a showdown prelim, I reckon a few non-members would want to attend.

i just dont understand why u guys hate port so much, i always go for the crows when they are not playing us. i mean cmon we are all south australian, give us a little love!! :thumbsu:

No. Can't do that.

How can people barrack fro port when it would mean that we would need to make 4 successive trips away from home (including perth) before travelling again to melbourne for the Grand Final.

Id hate to see a crows port Grand Final - the roads to melbourne would be clogged. Would be impossible to get over there. But - i would definately be there.

I always support 2 AFL teams week in, week out. The Crows and who ever is playing Port. The only exception is the 2 weeks a year that the two become one, the Showdowns.

Go the Eags!!

Same here, the people hoping for a Port victory are getting far too ahead of themselves. Under no circumstances would I ever barrack for Port unless it would help Adelaide in some way ie make the finals or secure a higher ladder position late in the season.

Imagine the looks on those peoples faces that will be barracking for Port tomorrow night if we get done against the Hawthorn.

Way too early to get cocky and nothing is for certain in the finals I certainly wouldnt be supporting Port while not knowing the crows fate.

Personally, I'm torn by indecision.

There's no way I could ever barrack for The Evil Empire. No matter who they're playing.

On the other hand, a West Coast win means a possible (likely) preliminary final against our nemesis team, in Perth. Not a scenario I think the Crows would find particularly appetising.

Lose-lose situation all round really. The question then becomes, which is the lesser of two evils?

True, there would be nothing better than seeing port secure a home prelim final and then for us to go down to the hawks the next day

No thanks, I would rather see the Eagles beat them. I know I would rather play Port at AAMI rather than WCE, but Adelaide being in the prelim is only an outside chance. If Port gets over the line against the Eagles and we dont make the prelim you can just about write them into the Granny.

Some people are being far too cocky about our chances when you consider our inconsistent season.

We are still 2 wins away from having to face the winner of the Port Vs WCE result in a preliminary final, if we dont win the next two games this result wont even matter to us. IMO nothing would beat winning against the eagles in a prelim at subiaco to end the wood WCE's had on us for the past 2 years. Also would be the perfect confidence boost for the crows going into the grand final, and also gives the opportunity to beat the power in a grand final for bragging rights of the century!!! :D

How any Crows fans can actually want Port to win is beyond me. If Port win tomorrow and we happen to lose either on Saturday or next week, then Port basically have a free ride to the GF. I can't take that.

CMON EAGLES!

A big risk taker huh?;)

Have faith in your own team.
