My paternal Grandfather was at Kokoda. Got himself shot in the shoulder and finally got pensioned out. Mad bugger, lied about his age at 16 to get into WW1, was at Passchendale. Survived.

Lied about his age to get into WW2, was at El Alemein.

Never spoke about the wars. Got quite a few medals.

Worst 50m ever paid before Mitch's goal? O'Keefe on the ground after a hard bump, Goo standing next to him with the ball waiting for him to get up to take his free kick. Umpire pays a 50 for not giving the ball directly to O'Keefe (who is still on the ground injured).

Umpiring has been interesting to say the least.

Remember the crackdown on holding off the ball? Quite a few occassions have seen two Hawthorn players tackled to ground at the contest.....not sure how both can have the ball at the same time.

Frees somewhere in the region of 3:1 Sydney it seems.

Wow we are wasteful. Should have been 6+ goals up at quarter time, since then it's been pretty even, to the point the margin may even be reasonable.
