I’ve been critical of Rozee but he was good tonight playing mainly in defence. His stats were more of a mid with 28 disposals and 2 goals. Gave us lots of drive from defence and took nice marks.

You can’t question his talent it’s always been his application. I can see him spending more time in defence after tonight’s game.

You can throw up all sorts of numbers but the bottom line is we beat them comfortably.
As stated by another poster they weren’t expecting us to line up with Rozee down back.
There was some different set ups and Hawthorn didn’t know how to respond fast enough.

We had a saying back in the day, Maggienificent. They earned that accolade tonight. The pressure was incredible and the ball movement breathtaking at times. Great win, well and hard earned.

Props to our small defenders. Jones was not noticeable but close to his best game, completely blanketed his opponent. Same goes for Sinn also

Jones was perfect in his role. He’s been deceptively good since round 1.

First game I’ve attended in a while, I’m not sure what the recruiters saw in Essva, but he is completely clueless in 1v1 contests. Time to blood Walsh.

He does some good stuff too though. He can actually hold a mark from a defensive kick in. He can take defensive intercept marks. He can spoil quite effectively. He can also get caught out of position 1 v 1. He’s about what you’d expect for pick 32.

I had it on Foxtel but I thought it’s still channel 7 commentators for free to air games. But it was Whateley and Hudson and they were annoying as usual
