Geelong – most loved to most disliked?

I was watching Johnson being interviewed on 360 last night, trying to get in the gate of the footy club and he had a permanent grin on his face, and I think I would quite like having a chat with him. He has a nice, approachable look/demeanour about him. So, as a human being, I don't mind him, and yet I loathe him as a player, which I find odd.

If I watch too many of his interviews, I might actually begin to like him full stop.

I am pretty similar with Crowley -he is articulate and interesting in his interviews. Bu don't really like him on the field.

I can't stand them. I hate watching Joel Selwood because every time he goes for a footy he drops his knees and plays for a free kick. It's embarrassing that one of te best players in the game and a captain of the best footy club for the past 7 years does it week in week out.

Bartel on the weekend was embarrassing also.

I found the playing group with Ablett a lot more likable than the current one. Used to love watching them play with him dominating.

I certainly still respect them, right now they would sit middle of the ladder on my like/dislike table.

When we were doing ok, the amount of shit Ablett got every week from opposition supporters was unfkblvbl. What was it? Possession-padding-scablett, wasn't it? Now that he is in a no-threat team (yet), he is the greatest. Well done, boys. Then when we were doing great after he left, it was Selwood's turn. If Selwood left and went to Melbourne or St Kilda, former haters would look at him differently and say "Gee, he is a great player."

Plenty of your brown and yellow brethren did prior to gaj leaving, regurgitating the same material RegHickey just mentioned and more specifically in Bay 13. I seldom (if ever) posted anything to 'rebut' it and stayed quiet because there was a large grain of truth to those accusations even to this day, especially today. Was never a big 'fan' of gaj, even before there was an inkling he would leave.

I think a lot of that stemmed from the constant incessant bleating of cats posters on BF labelling Sammy a sniper - like for like rubbish. As for the possession gathering it's probably not far from the truth but he has done far better than I thought he would as I did feel he was well protected by other cat players. He is also not alone in that category as shown by Clarko never bothering to send a player to Kerr when he played or swan - seems others don't see it though because the umps always seem to give them the three votes.
