Not near a TV tonight - any tears from the Cats skipper???
Actually, I imagine Scott would have been very proud of how Geelong picked themselves up off the canvas tonight and fought back with real guts. Unlike your poor old coach who couldn't have been more embarrassed by the woeful effort of his club.

One of the reasons I hate Geelong is that they are basically a loser club, in terms of winning the big one.

Notwithstanding the last few years, their entire history has consisted of looking good, but hardly ever winning.

That's why the last few years have been so unusual - they have actually won something in that time. Unusually for them.

This is a club that has made the finals more often than any club bar the big three, yet has only 9 flags to show for it. Even Hawthorn, who didn't win anything until 1961 have won more premierships just since 1971 than Geelong has in their entire 117 year VFL/AFL history.

They are a club that looks good, but hardly ever wins the big one. That's their 117 year history in a nutshell. They are lovable losers.

Of all the traditional clubs to have won more than 50% of their all time games (Carl, Coll, Ess, Rich, Gee) they are the one with the least amount of flags. Lovable losers. That's essentially where the handbagger name came from.

The last few years have been most un-Geelong like. They'll revert back to normal from now on.

At least they'll still have a club in a couple of years time whilst you'll be barracking for Carlton.

You're a muppet. Keep on preaching rubbish like the rest of the anti cat bandwagon.
You had it all go your way in the 1st half. Lindsay Thomas was 1 dive off making the free kick count even.

He dived so much he managed to pull Kelly's arms around him and into his back, without even having the footy!

They didn't. You're being one eyed and it's sort of sad. Just be happy you won.

You're completely unbiased though. Your flog Captain puts in a petition every time he goes near the ball.

I'm sure if Swans win this year they will be most hated, with COLA rants bringing BigFooty to a halt.

Whichever team stays at the top for a while starts to become disliked. I don't mind St Kilda or GWS or Melbourne for example, but I can't stand Hawks, Swans, Freo. I am still neutral on North, I want them to win next week

Took injuries to beat us again. We will be back pissing everyone off better than ever before next year with a healthy list.
Pathetic excuse. Johnson won't be around forever need to learn to win without him.
Christensen is a B grade player at best.
Mcintosh doesn't count get used to him being injured. Poor recruiting. Go find yourself an injury free ruckman during the off season

It is a bad excuse. No need for excuses, better team won on the night.

Good luck next week against money bags Swans. This is your premiership window North, don't blow it...

Stevie will be gone soon and he has been patchy lately in any case. McIntosh didn't matter either.
Nothing to do with why we lost tonight- but Bundy makes a difference and was a big loss for us. To say he is 'B at best' suggests to me you don't know much about footy.

Fair enough. Well he isnt A grade yet ala selwood, johnson.. I think it is fair to say he is a B grade player even though i see why his speed is important to geelong

Johnson won't be around forever but he would still turn this game around.
You underrate Christensen, he probably hasn't done enough media for you to rate him.
Motlop will also be in much better shape.
I'll give you HMac, we relied on Simpson to stay injury free.
I hope to hell Vardy and Menzel can get back and playing well next season. Not anticipating that though, especially Menzel.
Need a Paddy Ryder, even Mitch Clark, not a Frawley.
I think we can stay in/near the top 4 but a flag with the likes of Sydney still hanging around will still be a tough ask. Along with an improving Port.
Hawks unlikely to drop.
Lyon due to walk out on Freo soon and the rest don't cut the mustard.

Whilst motlop didnt look 100% he played so you have yourselves to blame.
Anyway underrate us at your own peril. Our midfield is comfortably going past Geelong. Need to fix the Backline now to go places though

Strange coning from the club who nearly merged 18 years ago. If there is one club guaranteed to be around forever due to their size, supporter base, membership and money, it's essendon. Geelong and hawthorn have both had their futures questioned in the last 20 years. Essendon never will. Too big, too important, too much money, too many supporters.

Melbourne hawks, lol. The fact it was even considered speaks volumes for where hawthorn truly sit in the scheme of the whole competition. Mid range big3 wannabees.

don't forget Swallow, Wells, Anthony plus the usual suspects are 27 or over though.
Cats only had one 26 year old in the guts last night, the rest were 21-23 years of age with Christensen also missing.
He wouldn't have made a difference to the end result but in 2015, they'll only be better again.

Must find a ruckman who remains fit as Simpson is too injury-prone unfortunately.

Sad thread; North the better team on the night without a doubt; injuries are absolutely no excuse to my mind, if you can't absorb 1-2 players missing from your best 22 then you're not gonna go too deep into September; look at Hawthorn having the luxury of weighing up Rioli's status.

Those bleating on that we got a good run from the umps have got to be joking; I thought the game was adequately umpired and really any North supporter worth their salt wouldn't be bothered - umpiring had absolutely no bearing on North's superiority, nor did it contribute to Geelongs brief challenge, imo.

You sound like my late grandad.

Times have changed boy. It's not been Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon running the show for a long long time.

Definitely not most disliked, that will award will never be taken away from Collingwood.

Would suggest that Essendon have taken on that mantle as the most disliked team / club. Historically its been Collingwood and something that they are proud of, but Essendon have generated a huge amount of anger and resentment and would top most lists of the most hated club now.
