Completely disagree with Colin Carter's stance about including VFA recrods as officially part of VFL-AFL records.

A new league was formed for the 1897 season that was completely separate from the VFA. That league still exists, albeit an expanded one with a name change.

At no point in the VFL-AFL history was a brand new league formed. Renaming an existing league does not make it a new league.

By all means acknowledge all of your club's history in whatever competitions that club has competed in within your own club's history.

The point is, Lions are more stacked, so are a number of other teams, yet people are saying cats are bending the cap - laughable . Some other astute poster shared this and it shows half our best 22 would not be on top dollar.
