no, but i can entirely see where others will hold that pov and it isn't far fetched and still potentially true. just my own two cents is that he was at the time handling a list which was transitioning at the time about 11ish AA players across a tripple premiership side, which meant juggling retirements, form declines in their twilight etc etc, which left a lot of gaping holes and deficiencies in the side over especially those earlier years.Extremely smart man.
I believe sometimes too smart in where he can overcomplicate the game a little. Dangerfield forward in the 2019 prelim wasn’t a great move for example.

I think it meant he often had to try and paper over a lot of cracks in the side, which I can easily see as being too complicated, maybe it was??? i think its there to debate, but is going back a bit far in my memory bank.
in the years richmond belted us around, I think we had a severely weak forward line, and a slow sluggish defense as well that needed to be protected from fast slingshot style footy. We had a tendency to be opened up badly on turnovers and reverted to a more slow moving game. at least this is how I viewed it. We played within our limits.
