Recruiting suggests we will just rotate our mids forward rather then have set forwards.Who should be there with the three big forwards ? I think Weller for sure, Wright is a good defensive forward but unsure if he gives enough attacking side to be there for sure. I guess another midfield like Stevens or Steele might get in . That probably leaves Sinclair, Loanie, Wright and a few others as the final choice . Having the three big forwards does restrict us from playing another ruckman . That means we are in trouble if Hickey goes down early in the game leaving Bruce in the ruck for the rest of the day but Boyd of the Bulldogs showed it can work sometimes. I guess it depends on who you are up against.

Billings, Gresham, Acres, Steele, Steven, Armo are all forward/mids.
Newnes averaged a goal a game this year and Dunstan plays to the right spots needs to clean up his kicking.
Ross is the only one who doesn't have a forward game right now.
Wellers leadership puts him in the best 22 more then his raw numbers and he plays up the ground and runs back to the forwardline
Wright is a stop gap while our team physically matures but Steele will likely be ahead of him going forward.
Sinclair and Lonie will live or die by midfield production rather then forward craft and currently I see McKenzie as ahead of them for best 22 spots with his marking, tackling and burst running
