We could have won the game but we were hardly in a dominant position at any point. When Geelong had the play they looked much better IMO.

At one point just after half time I think it was it was something like 42 inside-50's to their 20. We missed so many shots in the 2nd quarter (McQualter's the worst, running into an open goal and missing from 20m out) and not only did they get the goal from Hawkins hitting the post, but just seconds later they got another goal directly from the following centre bounce. So within 30 seconds of play they had 12 points on the board (in a low scoring game), when chances are, had the Hawkins poster been called a point, they would have only had 1.

Sounds like Melbourne's primary interest was looking after his long term health.
Interesting to see where this goes but it appears they have fulfilled their dury of care obligations.
