Go to the Saints home page and click on news . Look at the photo of the pack going mainly to punch the ball. The Tigers player at the fronts is holding up his boot to try hit the ball first , is that even legal ? Would the umpires pay a free kick against that ? I have never seen that before , it might be a first time ever tried , I wonder if the umps paid kicking in danger, lol.

Wondering what is a better result today for us. Tigers brought back to earth or the Demons to remain stuck in Purgatory ?
I´m a little wary of Fremantle quietly sniffing around bagging wins without too much notice that gives them a little bit to pla for.

ANZAC Eve has really nailed it. Great pre-game and over 80,000 in. Hoping for a good game.

I'd love one of these big games.

It was like kick to kick in the schoolyard at times during that quarter.

Melbourne at one stage that quarter had 10 i50's for no score.

Zero!!!

Becomes a meaningless stat if you can't score.

It sickens me to say this as I can't stand them - but Melb will be at the top of the ladder for a number of years. It's all done through smart trading and drafting. Get 2-3 years right and looks what it can do.

They swindled draft picks to get their marquee forward. Then went hard at pure mids that complimented each other. Oliver will be one of the best kids in the game, complimented by Petracca & Viney on the inside and then run with Stretch and Hunt on the outside.

Stinker of a loss tonight that will burn, but they'll be there at the pointy end. Tipping next year they'll be top 4 easily.

Watch Richmond sneak into the finals on the back of a soft draw and get absolutely smashed in the first final. Mid-table forever.

The biggest reason they won tonight is because of key injuries to Melbourne. Otherwise Melbourne would have won by 5 goals IMO.

I'm still not convinced by Richmond. As you say they'll probably make finals now but I could see them playing an elimination final against Port in Adelaide again and being smashed by 10 goals.

And Hardwick will get another extension... yay :p

Hmmm. Richmond don't look great but they're banking wins.

I think Port and Richmond in to the 8, Hawthorn and North out. Maybe Swans out for Dees depending on the next few games.

Don't see a spot for us in the 8 unfortunately.

"We don't capitalise when we dominate play, and when it doesn't go to plan we are scored against easily.

I can't see us being real contenders without a blue chip KPD and we don't have one on our list"

That's what some Dreamon supporter said on their board. Change a few words around in the last line and that could be us, yet we're sitting here lamenting how good their list is.

Things are never as good or as bad as they seem, a great man once said. I'm starting to think he's right.

Say what you like about the Richmond Football Club, but watching them go 5 and 0 and all up and about just makes me SICK.
I'm still coming to terms with their start........had them bottom 6 pre season.

Spot on.

They've beaten Carlton (bottom 4), Collingwood (big deal), West Coast (at home), Brisbane and Melbourne (2 men down for half the game).
