A 24-year-old man has been charged over an armed robbery that took place at a Busselton firearm store on Thursday.

Deceased 3yo's mother has been deceased for a few years.
The 3yo is related to the 45yo currently critically injured.
A female family member of the 45yo who resides in the premises called Police.
She is not the partner of the 45yo male (just a family member)

The court heard the family had many questions relating to Mr Huddy's interactions with mental health services, and why Sergeant Mead fired when he did, rather than waiting a "few extra minutes for police with tasers to arrive".
The inquest continues.

I just can't get over this story. That poor 10 year old and her family - Their victim impact statements say it all. The signs were obviously there for a long time ....slaughtering the family chickens....collecting knives and other weapons some of which she used on animals....! JEEZ!
Teen accused of killing 10yo girl found not criminally responsible
The teenager was 14 years old when she killed the younger girl at Gunnedah in north-west NSW, but a court has found she was impaired by a mental health condition at the time.
I don't know enough about this case to judge.
The 14 YO had undiagnosed schizophrenia , which can be pretty nasty.
Schizophrenia can respond very well to treatment.
"Twisted" doesn't seem a great description of someone with mental illness.
She many be no more "evil" than a dangerous truck driver.
Very sad.

Just broke my heart listening to this woman. There is no excuse for the way she spoke to him. Her words cannot be blamed on lack of training, more so lack of empathy or understanding.

The Coroners report and what it has to say about the psychs that were involved in clearing Mr Smith to hold a gun licence after NSW Police rescinded his gun licene, will be one to keep an eye on.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal in August 2021 NSW Police officers arrived at Mr Smith’s home to take his guns off him over admissions about his mental health struggles – including suicidal thoughts – made while renewing his firearms licence.
The Firearms Registry – which sits under the NSW Police Force umbrella but is largely staffed by civilians – had flagged its concerns, resulting in his licence being suspended and Mr Smith having to undergo an “independent medical assessment” before his licence could be reinstated.
Police sources said there were no other red flags for Mr Smith and he had no criminal history.
In a statement, NSW Police said: “In August 2021, the 58-year-old man’s firearms licence was suspended by the NSW Firearms Registry after concerns were identified during the review of his renewal application.”
“The man was issued a suspension notice, and three firearms were seized from his home.
“An independent medical assessment was undertaken, as required by the Firearms Registry, as well as a risk assessment, and in December 2022, the man’s firearms licence was reinstated.”
It is understood Mr Smith had experienced significant grief in his life in recent years.
It is not known if this was the cause of his mental health issues, but sources said Mr Smith was continuing to undergo psychiatric and psychological treatment at the time of last week’s shooting.
The psychiatric experts involved in clearing Mr Smith to hold a licence are expected to be called before the coroner as part of their investigations.
